MacIntyre Extended

Positive but somewhat tentative development for our fb program. Happy that a decent man got a raise.

It's a good deal. Fair market value. A little rich at 5 years in my mind but maybe RG protected downside in case success is not sustainable.

Will be interesting to see rest of contract such bonus structure, buy-out.

Congrats to MM. With success comes the rewards, and expectations.

Sweet!! some news we can hang a hat on. Bout damn time. Probably known but just released? maybe they know the budget for the rest of the staff now and we will hear an announcement.
Way to go Coach! #deserved

I wonder what the overall football salary budget is. Should,be around $8 million. Currently around $6 million.

CONGRATS, COACH!

glad to have this out of the way and back to work! let's go get a p12 championship!

Good for MM and good for CU. Three year extension is where it should have been and the dollars seem to be fair on both sides. Also gets CU into market value numbers which is important both to keep negative recruiting at bay and to signal to future assistant coaching hires that CU is a true P5 team. Well done RG

That's what I was told today, don't shoot the messenger. Contracts aren't concrete and if he wants to go then not much can stop him I guess, people break contracts all the time.
I will absolutely shoot the messenger (figuratively of course) on this one. Your opinion here and majority of your posts suck. Just because your buddy donates a few hundred bucks a year and can be called a donor doesn't mean he knows what the **** he's talking about.

Only position I could see RG leaving for would be if he was offered Pac-12 Commish or something like that.

Think you are right. If he was chasing the money there are plenty of jobs in pro sports that he could get that pay more.

Not saying he wouldn't listen but I think he is happy where he is doing what he is.

Is this a serious post? Who came sniffing? Who actually wanted to hire this poser?

Nobody. Not a single program is interested in Coach of the Year who turned around the CU dumpster fire.

From KU to Cal to Baylor to Vandy. None of those guys even thought about finding a proven turn-around specialist. Yeah, no one.

Why are you still typing and posting? I'm honestly curious. What is your purpose in life, to piss people off? You come here just to talk **** and make yourself look like an idiot? Just STFU already dude.

He's welcome to continue posting here as long as he is walking and crossing I-70 at the same time.

Great to see this deal get done. Many of us were thinking that MM had to prove it this year and well...he did. Glad this is behind CU now.

Woot! But are there stronger locks to keep him from getting poached like Leavitt?

We don't know the details yet, but typically to poach a coach, you have to buyout his contract so today there are about $16.25M reasons why a school won't steal HCMM.

It's good to see especially from a stability standpoint. Now reel in some assistants. Keep this thing rolling. Oh yeah **** Oregon.

Good terms for both sides. Rewards MacIntyre for the rebuild and gives the school a couple years to gauge whether the success is sustainable. Should not have to revisit talks until during the 2018 season.

This is a good signing, and well-timed. MM and family have moved around so much in the past two decades; maybe they feel like setting some roots in one (very nice) spot for awhile. $3 million+ per year and annual raises ain't bad. The future is bright, Buffs fans.
