I thought he was pretty candid. Didn't say anything that bothered me.
And I'm probably in the minority on this, but I like that he keeps his message consistent and stays true to his vision. That's what good leaders do. He may fail in 2010. Hell, the past may even indicate that his vision doesn't work and he is destined to fail this year. if that's the case, we move on with a new coaching staff and a new vision. CU will rise to greatness again with the right guy at the helm.
But if we do turn this around and have a good season in 2010, Hawk's consistency of message & vision that has driven us crazy (and we've made fun of) turns into a great asset he can use with his team, his coaches and his recruits... that his vision does work and we're building to a championship.
Finally, I know I'm in the minority right now on this one, but I like Dan Hawkins. I want him to succeed at CU. And I think there are a lot of reasons that this will be a breakout year.
