Official ****braska Hate Thread

reading some stories about their spring game and OMG...the Kool-Aid is flowing in stinkon linkon and corn nation. Hell, you would think they will be competing for the big championship. That freshman QB is going to win player of the year. Whatever.

Mike Martz says that if the Cornheads are to be back as a football program, it starts in the trenches. They lose three starters including one that will be picked in the NFL Draft later this week but return two starters and a lot of depth. That might sound good on paper as long as they are the right fit of linemen. This is where CU's DL will have to play very well and probably should be able to play very well in order to beat the Cornheads this season.

It’s not just the message boards! I was at a family function at my in-laws. The way they were talking about the spring game, you would think that they had just won the national championship. My wife has some cousins that are CSU alum, and sheep fans...so, I could overhear some digs on the Buffs. I figured I’d just let the first two games speak for themselves.

Grew up in northern Colorado in Larmier County in the mountains (around Estes Park) and I had to deal with my fair share of people from both fanbases. Let's say if CU whips both teams, you might not have to worry about Christmas shopping for the in-laws.

Oh man, it was bad enough growing up here and getting the third degree if I wore a shirt or hat of a different college team, as I never went out of my way for any Husker gear, and the gifted stuff sat in the back of my closet, or made into a yard work shirt.

My wife’s uncle, whom is the father of the CSU alum, always gets a kick when I wear a Buffs shirt. They lived in Lone Tree, CO for 20 some odd years, before moving back to Omaha last year to retire (why?!). I think he digs the CO connection mostly.

Part of me hopes the game is at 11 central time. So I can get home quickly to stop the Nub brainwashing of my daughter. My wife said that my mother-in-law and her aunt were trying to teach her to say “Go Big Red”, but my daughter, being the quick witted, smart ass, ended up saying “Cig-gar-ette” I’m told. So, I think being born in CO is helping to keep away nub influences?

You need to take your Buffs affiliation more seriously. My MIL has threatened to buy CSU gear (both of her sons went there) for our 2 year old. I’ve told her in crystal clear terms that they would be a waste of money because not only would he never wear the clothes, but they would be destroyed.
If my MIL tried to push Nub love on my kid, and didn’t back off I would restrict their access to the kid.

tOSU is running a little scared of the Fluskers? Lmfao, that is the dumbest **** I've heard. It's okay to get a little Frosty now, but their AD (the AD!) is out of touch with reality on that point. Holy balls.

:ROFLMAO:

Wait, I mean :ROFLMAO:

I wouldn't be surprised if Nebraska doesn't get to a bowl game until 2020. I really like the vibe coming out of Lincoln & what the Huskers will run under Frost but Nebraska doesn't play in the AAC. The Big Ten schedule makers haven't been nice to the Huskers plus Frost will have to run off Riley's players which aren't fit for what Frost wants to run and that's going to take time.

Your Husker buddies are forgetting that CU was a few breaks away from a 8 win season last year plus Montez's first start (@ Oregon in 2016) was in an environment not unlike Lincoln and the Buffs won that one...he was even the first CU QB to have 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing as well. The only reason why NU would have a chance is if CU's interior defense hasn't really improved from last season.

Tickets applications through the CU AD begin today at 10am.
Thanks for the heads up. Just made sure I got on the list. $15 non refundable fee and based on priority points if you get the tix or not.

I can't imagine I'm that high in points

$100/ticket + $15 fee is pretty rough for the corner that KNU is going to shove us all in. Still going to register at 10.

If you all don't get tickets to the game because of a lack of priority points we can always start to buy out other sections. Plenty of nubs always sell.
