Official National Championship Game Thread

Gene Stallings.

Clemson had many opportunities to make stops and failed.

Stallings was good (and a good man) but they never accepted him despite the national title he won. He had other success at Bama as well but ultimately the sanctions that resulted from his time gutted the program.

Jay Coker ... "thank you ... thank you very much. You ain't nuthin' but a hound dog, a cryin' all the time."

Anyone else see that?

What were stats from Henry? I'm underwhelmed.

Bama has so much talent one of the guys on the bench would make us a bowl team at just about any position.

Yeah, you're right on. He could get a gig in Vegas after college.

You know, Alabama may not even be there if Ole Miss could've stopped a 4th and 25 v Arkansas.

Very good game ... almost lived up to the utterly ridiculous espn hype, which was impossible to live up to.

I still can't get over that perfectly executed onside kick and the balls of steel Saban needed to call for it.

Play that defined this season, really.

Amazing game. Doesn't get much better than that.

Congrats to Alabama on one hell of a performance to find the ways and plays to win this one.

Swinney was sure 'bama had committed some sort of foul. They must've! Right?

Damn. I really wanted to see Clemson win this one. That onsides kick was clearly the difference maker in an otherwise evenly matched game.

... If not evenly matched, at least evenly played.
