It provides me passing entertainment until 10/30. I’m more pissed about gross mismanagement and incompetence though. A good football programs opens so many damn doors for the other programs. And when you have an AD who is solely focused on it - leaving other programs lacking - AND is actively making things worse it’s the worst of all worlds.I didn’t know Goose could even spell football let alone cared about it.
We’re not supposed to do that?

Cult of Pedagogy. I figured I was the only person on this board that’s heard of that website. No, you aren’t! It identifies the writer as an old codger. For your reference - this is from 2014.

Signed,RG is no dummy, as demonstrated by a career full of success. As AD, the hire of Midnight Mel was a good one, and the program had positive momentum until Mel skipped town at a really bad time in the recruiting cycle.
The hire of Dorrell was a head-scratcher, as was the contract Dorrell was given. Those moves were totally out of character for RG, given his track record. It makes me think his hands were tied to some extent, but I haven’t confirmed that.
I find RG’s letter to be very encouraging, and more indicative of the RG I have been acquainted with. He may or may not have been directed to make a public statement, but he sent what I believe is a purposeful message. RG never needed to take this job. He had more lucrative options elsewhere, but he loves CU. I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
That I would have respected.Shorter: hey Colorado fans, I know we suck, please don't be mean to our players
It’s gonna be amazing when it turns out that we got the buyout money by having the athletic department put a couple mil on UCLA covering.
There are quite a few exceptions to that “rule.” Check out the responses below the article. She even backtracks a bit.No, you aren’t! It identifies the writer as an old codger. For your reference - this is from 2014.

That was my fear when I saw a statement had been released. I was so worried I was going to read something about KD being the right man to lead this football program and that CU is committed to him and the process.I’m honestly a little confused what you guys expect a statement like that to say. I thought it was fine as long as it didn’t say he backed Dorrell and believes he is the right coach
Rick just shouldn't have said anything. It has only further enraged the fan base and drawn more attention nationally to the meltdown happening in Boulder.I’m honestly a little confused what you guys expect a statement like that to say. I disagree. It’s calculated and you don’t say something official/public like that, with no actual backing of the coach, if you’re not ready to make a move.Rick just shouldn't have said anything. It has only further enraged the fan base and drawn more attention nationally to the meltdown happening in Boulder.
Word vomit with no purpose other than the AD admitting it's bad and they have no plan but to "hope".
I love the anger generated by the AD statement. I think that's very useful. It's good that the release turned up the heat instead of giving breathing room. It's serving as gas on the fire.Rick just shouldn't have said anything. It has only further enraged the fan base and drawn more attention nationally to the meltdown happening in Boulder.

It only serves a purpose IF, and it's a big IF, you have a plan to move forward.I love the anger generated by the AD statement. I think that's very useful. It's good that the release turned up the heat instead of giving breathing room. It's serving as gas on the fire.
I agree that the statement didn't have to be made, unless he was directed to make a statement by someone higher up in the administration.Rick just shouldn't have said anything. It has only further enraged the fan base and drawn more attention nationally to the meltdown happening in Boulder.

I don’t think the AD at most other schools gets free reign to make major decisions without official approval from school leadership. The difference is that at most other schools, school leadership has the same expectations for athletic success the AD does and therefore rubber stamps most AD decisions. This gets us back to the issue that I bring up all the time, which is the fact that at most other schools, he would have free reign to ****can KD at his discretion. But not here. He has to run it past Phil, and then it probably has to go through some kind of process. Phil will meddle and **** it up (as is his standard process), and we will be stuck with this disaster for longer than we should be. We can’t get out of our own way when it comes to stuff like this.
UCLA isn't good but they have a mobile QB and that's all it takes to blow out CUI know this sounds crazy but I wouldn't be so sure that UCLA is going to just roll over us. After all they did just need a last second FG to beat South Alabama
Yeah, but I'm pretty sure CU couldn't beat South Alabama, so....I know this sounds crazy but I wouldn't be so sure that UCLA is going to just roll over us. After all they did just need a last second FG to beat South Alabama
