Now that we know we're in the Pac 11 with more expansion likely, have your feelings changed?
My belief is that it is more important now than ever to do what we can do as fans to make sure that CU goes into our new conference from a position of strength.
Here's what I have done:
- Went from 2 season tickets to 3 in football
- Moved 1 section closer to the 50 yard line (paid more, but was able to snag seats on the aisle)
- Increased my donation by 5x (and secured decent parking)
Here's what I will do:
- Go from 2 season tickets to 3 in men's basketball
- Travel to see CU in the Las Vegas Invitational basketball tournament for Thanksgiving weekend
- Increase my donation in basketball to secure a parking space
- Step up with a donation, if asked, in order to support a new project (i.e., Balch renovation, Folsom and/or Coors video scoreboards, permanent football indoor practice facility, etc.)
- Pick a non-revenue sport or two to support by buying season tickets, attend some matches, and donate the rest (probably Volleyball since my wife likes it a lot and I can get into it a bit)
- Buy all the new CU Pacific Athletic Conference gear I can find as it comes out
- Start attending all the Buff Club and other fundraising events I can, as time permits
What have you done? What will you do? Has anything changed for you based on today's announcement?
