No. I love the guy, but he will not be the next head coach. Yeah, the team looks way better, and credit to Brian. But the biggest reason for the improvement, IMO, is that a load of bricks has been lifted off their and the assistant's shoulders.
ThisYes, Cabral should be the next HC.
At UNC or another smaller program that's looking for a coach. I'm impressed with what he's doing, and I'd love to see him get the HC shot he wants. But it would probably be a good idea for him to start at a smaller program instead of jumping right into a job like CU.
Selfishly I hope he'll stay in Boulder as the next DC. But he wants to be a HC and what he's done the last 2 weeks tells me he should be, somewhere....
"Director of Football Operations?" Are you suggesting a new position? There is no such thing, is there?we beat the corn, go on and win a bowl game? I think you bring him in with Mac as director of football operations and fund-raising.

I love Cabral but I wonder about his public speaking. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and when he's being interviewed/speaking to a group he tends to stumble on his words at times. Sometimes I wonder how that is perceived by somebody who may not know him. He also tends says what he's thinking when maybe it was something that maybe he should have kept to himself. I don't know...it's hard to explain... Almost like a politician who's very good but will never be President because he's not 'Presidential.' I may not be explaining it the right way.
Brian Cabral is a old school badasss. Anyone who spends 10 mins with him is a better man.
yep, and he understands that games are won at the line of scrimmage.
\I dunno. I won't root against him but we have to be careful and not get caught up in the moment. Logic not passion needs to drive this process.

Logically, Mac would never have beaten NU (except for '94). Football is a game of emotion.
That is not an apt comparison. Mac came in 82 and set a bulls eye on the fuskers and it took 4 years. It is a game of emotion but Mac had a plan and executed on it. Winning 3 games doesn't make him Mac. If he does win 3. I dunno. I am torn honestly.

What if he wins 4 straight? That's the point I start to think he might be the guy. This is a different team we're seeing right now. The only question is why they're different...
I think its a different team because they no longer are playing under pressure. And I think that circumstance is perfect for BC's laid back but tough style. But I don't think it projects into him building a perrenially winning program.
Yeah. Me too.I don't necessarily disagree, but I don't know for sure.
