I don't know about watering down the schedule, but we need to do whatever we have to do to keep our games on saturday next season. Playing on thursday, friday, monday, didn't help our cause.
If the full commitment is not their to win and it's not the priority, wouldn't now be the time for them to play a much softer ooc? The chances of them winning 6 would increase and there's your improvement. :sad1:

1 game that's a relative gimme, like Toledo!
Given how far advance a lot of the schedules are made (5-10 years) and the fact that CU would have to pay a penalty (NC paid us $200k) in these tough financial times I don't see us making changes to the schedule. The rational for the big game was that put butts in the seats in Folsom. Maybe they water it down in the future schedules but by the time they get here I bet Hawk and possibly Bohn are long gone.
God I hope we dont get into playing teams just for the money.
Water down the schedule, how? Are you anticipating that CU is going to buy itself out of a game somewhere? I doubt it.
CU already has CSU in Denver, at Cal, Hawaii, and Georgia on next year's non-conference schedule. I think CU could go 1-3 in those 4 games.
2011 has Hawaii on the road, Cal, CSU in Denver, and Fresno State. If Hawkins is back, I could see another 1-3 start.
2012 has CSU in Denver, Minnesota in Minneapolis, Fresno State at Fresno, and Utah in Boulder. With Hawkins, I predict 0-4.
Do I need to continue?
The worst part is how we actually seem to be playing pretty tame OOC schedules the last few years, we just aren't beating the crap teams we're scheduled against.
Like I said 3 or 4 posts up. We can't beat the Toledos or Montana State's of the world. Let alone a superior to those two CSU team near the bottom of the MWC. We've got problems. Big problems.

I think the ticket is WAC teams. Hawk is a beast against them. We need to call up anyone not named Boise State and Nevada(they scare me) and get it done.

Cause UTAH and BYU look so beatable... :rofl2:
If your looking for the "easy" button I'd suggest UNC (not that UNC), ND or NDS. Even then its dicey...

WAC, not Mountain West. No BCS affiliated team is capable of beating a Mountain West team. Can't be done.
What the hell are you talking about? We were only 10 plays away from going to a bowl game this year, didn't you hear? It's just a few little things. That's all. Just a couple little things and we're right there. Hey, this deal was burned to the ground four years ago. Didn't you hear?
