Toney Clemons is a Pittsburgh Steeler

Goes to show you that tough work and finishing strong can turn you into a draft pick. Toney's last part of the season he was dominant and it showed up on tape. Big difference from where he was after 1st couple of games of the year.

To many people this is going to look like he came out of the blue. This fits with the history of the Steelers taking guys who come out of programs that weren't high profile. Wouldn't surprise me if Tony ends up having a very good career with the Steelers.

Agree, he was our best WR this past season and his hard work showed. Congrats Tony!

Terrific! I read this morning that he was not planning to watch the draft.....was going to read a book. Love this guy.

Really happy for Toney. He passes the eyeball test big time, and thanks to the current staff, he was able to get the switch flipped just in time. He will surprise a lot of Pittsburgh fans.

Good thing Toney is going to an organization that is a winning organization especially with all the losing he had to deal with at CU. They have some good WRs but Toney probably can make it as 5th WR/special teams guy his first year.

I wrote Toney off early last season, and he proved me wrong. Keep showing them Toney! Congrats!

Good place for Toney, he has a chance of making the squad as a big target for them. Conrad Obi to Arizona

The ****ing Denver Post mentioned all the local guys they felt had a shot. I was shocked Toney was not on the list. **** the Post. Clemons was awesome at the end of his career and killed the pro day.

The Steelers only have 4 WR's on the roster and he was the only WR they drafted. Sounds like he landed in a GREAT situation

I count 9 excluding Toney on their website. Their main receiving corps is fairly young with Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders and Mike Wallace*.

But none of those guys have played in the pac 12, big 12 and the big 10. Clemons is definitely some kind of wr sensei by now.

Because he´s a RFA, yet has to sign his tender and thinks he should be paid like Larry Fitzgerald.

Pittsburgh does not usually pay players when they start demanding too much. For Toney's sake, it would have been good to learn from Ward. I do think he's landing in a good situation, however. It's a team that has a history of giving young players a chance to prove themselves.

Pittsburgh has always liked bigger WRs who are big enough and tough enough to help in the running game and to be effective when weather makes the field tigher. Tony is big enough and physical enough to fit into this.

Good fit for him.

Toney had many bad breaks in his career - signing with Michigan and then having them change coaches. Then transferring to CU and experiencing another change in coaches. I think all that was a distraction and slowed his development down. If you remember him and Embree had a meeting after the Hawaii game to "hash things out". Clemons has a huge upside IMO, he was always popular with his team mates and his coaches felt he was a hard worker - I think he was just a little lost as a player. I wonder what his career could of been like if he had solid coaching from the start.

He made some amazing catches this year. I really like the way he will go up for the ball even when covered. I think and hope that he can have a great NFL career.

Cotchery is their 4th WR. Good chance Toney has to make the roster or at least be on the practice squad

Huh? Did you mean "good chance he will make the roster or at least be on the practice squad?"
