Top 5 Wide Receivers Ever At C.U.

NM, FlaBuff covered what I was talking about. I'm pretty sure Fowler did that interview with him. Im still a little crazy FlaBuff, just not quite as bad as I used to be lol.

BTW, Hackett made some of the most crazy good catches as a Buff ever. Plus a pretty good NFL career. One of my favorite under the radar screen CU guys.

IIRC, Hackett was at least 6'4". That radar screen must be tall af.

Granted I was born in 89 so I can see only the highlights of past greats, but only a few posts mentioning spruce? He may not have been as big or fast as some receivers at cu, but he was a stud. Quick, great route runner and never dropped the ball. To bad he got hurt, coulda had a great nfl career but there might still be hope.

If we were talking about the top 15 WRs at CU, Spruce would be in the discussion. It’s hard to include him with the likes of Cliff Branch, Mike Pritchard, Michael Westbrook, Charles Johnson and Rae Carruth. A guy can be a good, hard working and productive player without being a superstar. That’s Nelson Spruce.
