also read on that thread that Hansen's brother scolded the mindless one who posted it and asked the mods to remove it. Was sort of hoping that might keep it off here. Let's let the 18-year old kid have some space. If I remember right, he might even be 17.
didn't read that board. my bad, holiness.
Hope everything works out for JT and he does what is best for him
And they didn't remove it over there. He is in California. Why is that so bad to say? And why is the original poster "mindless" for posting information?
Let's hope whatever he is dealing with is not too serious and he can come back and be a great Buff for us.
Some things should be kept in-house.
But we're not going to be able to put the genie back in the bottle by not talking about it on AllBuffs.
All that's been said so far (3rd hand report by a mentor to a couple players) is that JT had the pressure get to him, headed home, and may be back. He allegedly won't be traveling to Columbia this week, and if he doesn't return to the team Cordary Allen is next in line to have his redshirt pulled if the need arises.
Until we know anything, let's please respect the young man and keep the speculation to a minimum. First semester of college can be pretty overwhelming and we don't know what all is going on in his life. Seems like a good guy with a good head on his shoulders, though.
Also, I should add this from Ringo's chat tonight:
That strongly contradicts a report of JT leaving this morning and not being in Boulder.
It will be a sad and stupid thing if the source was wrong and all this trouble for Justin was stirred up needlessly. A damn shame.
Looks like SD just confirmed that he went back home today.
I hope everything's ok with JT and his family.
Buffnik...thats my bad. Worded that poorly and was unclear. I wasn't confirming his story. Have not heard anything.
Thanks, man. Glad you stopped by to clear that up.
If this is a bull**** story, I'm going to be really pissed at donmac.
^^ If it's a bull**** story, let's be really happy JT is all good and still here. I agree rumors can be harmful, but thankfully with this type of rumor, the truth can come out as fact and the rumor can be put to rest.
didn't mean to bring to start such a **** storm here. there was one post about this where i read it, sorry JT if it's untrue.
Did Hagan strike again?
Again we put too much stock in internet posts - ours included. If players are aware of everything written about them on the internet, I'd be surprised. If they care, they already need counseling.
Great! Whats this going to do to our APR? :wink2:
Unfortunately, Rivals left the thread up because it had already hit other boards, meaning ours.
My wish would be that this was private until Justin himself had something to say. Water under the bridge now.
Yeah, at least, maybe, keep these things in Barzil. But once it appears on other sites what are you going to do?
I think JT is going to be very good. Hope he's okay.
You are always welcome back JT.
dude, i don't pay rivals for ****ty info. stopped doing that awhile ago. this was from a completely different website. i had no idea what was going on on rivals and had no idea this would light such a fire under a few people's asses.
Just passing on the info...don't shoot the messenger...
You don't have to go to that site for it. I was just going to post something.
Hawkins said in his after-practice interview that Torres went home and they hope to have him back. donmac's report from yesterday was spot on.
I listened at Rivals, but it's pretty much everywhere now.
Man... We need to recruit some RBs and fast. What about a JC guy?
that's too bad if true. kids go through all kinds of weird stuff the first couple months of college after the initial "thrill" of being on your own and the first "party cycle" winds out. day to day life requires an adjustment. trust me, i've seen some crazy things. especially, from out of state students....and within that category, especially those from either coast.
Hopefully, Mike M. can give him some mentoring/guidance back home.
Daaah: When we're redshirting 3 RBs and our top 2 RBs return next year, I have trouble seeing an urgent need to recruit the position.
If Torres is definitely gone, though, I think it makes sense to play Cordary Allen this year. Move one Jones to DB (likely Trea). Then turn on the heat to bring in Adonis or Dorian.
First few months away from family and friends can be tough. Throw in a new academic standard, a completely overwhelming football experience and a tough coach--I'd imagine can feel as though it's too much.
I hope Celestine gives him a call.
