Travis Hunter Appreciation Thread

It's not that type of injury. If his liver hasn't healed, you don't put him on a football field in any capacity. If the laceration has healed, he's full-go. This isn't a sprain/strain that you nurse him through.
If he is ready and the doctors say it is safe then yes he should play.

He has been out for a while though so take advantage of the opportunity with this opponent and control his snaps to let him get back into football without over extending him.

With the comments about his fitness, seems likely he plays mostly on defense against stanford. Bet he's still on the field a fair bit on offense though.

It seems to me that if there is still any lingering concern about absorbing hits that spending fewer snaps on offense is a way to limit that. Recall that his head coach once said that corners don't have to tackle. CBs don't have to take (or give) a lot of hits. WR is another story.

He went bowling two weeks ago. He can play football.
Happy Bill Murray GIF

Idk how you can watch the Nebraska or TCU game and say that. He was a stud at DB more than WR. He sucked ass today at DB. He just came back from an injury. Give the man some time to heal.
I mean sure. But the “best CB prospect of all time” doesn’t put up a game like this. Even this week he was ranked the best CB in the nation

1st round WR

7th round CB (right now)

DB ability is vastly overrated
Honestly, he was exposed some against CSU and now by the tree. Solid athlete, but not as good as the hype train suggests,m (he is not Deion) and his funadmentals arent as good as they should be. He is the third best corner at CU in the last 8 years, which makes him borderline NFL on D at best.

Yep. Even in the first half he was bailed out by bad throws and dropped passes. He needs to work on his DB skills. Perhaps not practicing all year was a bad idea

The typical after a loss, terrible opinions is back. Hunter was fine at CB against CSU till Blackburn Damm near killed him on the other side of the field and he stayed in to finish the 1st half.

This ain't a good look. Stop doing the bull****. When we lose, all common sense goes out the window.

You don’t need to be an apologist. He had a **** game (out of position, poor tackling) and and his two personal fouls were totally uncalled for, one of which materially affected the outcome.

He didn't look good tonight, but the touchdown grab over him was almost perfect defense. Not much more he could have done on that play.

I'm hoping someday we figure out crosses and slants to the middle of the field. Ugh.

He had allowed two completions in the first 10 minutes of the first quarter before he was hurt and had been fried on another where CSU could have had a big play but missed. I wont add in what he gave up while attempting to play hurt, as it isn't fair. He looked great on offense before the injury.
Teams avoid great corners, even in college, no one has avoided Travis Hunter. If that doesn't give you some understanding about his current level and what coaches who face him think then you need to drink less kool-aid. He could become a great corner but he isn't right now and without question Chido and Witherspoon were better in college than Travis is now.

Allbuffs is a positive place for me; these melt downs, especially when directed at players are despicable. Hunter is incredible. He had a bad game and looked gassed. He also lacerated his liver, so it's understandable. Go Buffs and try to stay positive people...Stress is a killer.
