Unofficial CFP thread.

If for one look forward to the return of @BamaCharlie to opine to us how unfair college football has become.
@Trogdor realizing in real time that Oregon will remain without a natty as long as Curt Cignetti chooses to coach football. Sad.
Would love to see a thread with @BamaCharlie and @Trogdor exchanging ridiculous arguments about who is less embarassing in this playoff.

So ... odd thought.

North Texas coach Eric Morris and players get 'promoted' to OKState. Curt Cignetti and JMU players get 'promoted' to Indiana. I'm sure there are other data points ...

Are we seeing a de facto Promotion and Relegation system evolve before our very eyes?!

Looking forward to everyone being as critical of Oregon's performance tonight as they were of Alabama's performance in the Rose Bowl

The guy can flat out coach/evaluate/recruit. Mario Cristobal seems to be that too. Lanning is a solid coach. But he got out talented in this game.

Not in any way putting down Indiana's talent they are clearly very good.

This game wasn't won though based on talent, it was won based on coaching, composure, discipline. Oregon got beaten by the moment, the had turnovers, bad snaps, missed assignments, blown coverages, missed blocks and tackles. They had all of the stuff that Indiana didn't in the biggest moment of their football careers to this point.

If a team is going to beat Indiana they have to beat Indiana because Indiana isn't going to beat themselves.

Lanning meanwhile keeps getting close but not close enough, at some point they have to ask if he is capable of finishing the job.
