Unofficial CFP thread.

I don’t think you’re a POS, but curious, why does it bother you so much?
Mendoza's animated positivity doesn't seem real and seems exaggerated for the cameras.

I guess Tebow himself never really bothered me. What bothered me was the media propping him up to be a better QB than he was.

What bothers me most is that if they represented a different faith they would be nowhere near the media darlings they are/were.

My wife is a fairly devout Christian, who regularly attends church. She’s an Episcopalian, though. who tend to not be over the top with religion and generally like parties, booze, and sex as part of the natural order of things. She finds the “thanking God” practice annoying because it trivializes religion and it also assumes that God favors one individual or a group of individuals over another. As if God gives a sh!t about your stupid games and who wins.

I tend to be with @skibum on this one. The most intelligent and comfortable interviewees I see don’t repeat themselves often, whether it’s thanking God or some kind of cliche.

I think a lot of the thanking God is just guys saying it because they think they’re supposed to and because they’ve seen a million athletes before them do it. Whether Mendoza is well spoken or not doesn’t mean he comfortable and/or has his thoughts composed.

Alfred is looking for local Episcopalian congregations right now.

What, you didn't like the " jump pass" bullshvt? Makes two of us.😀

I think it's fair to assume that any IU person who can possibly swing it financially is trying to get a ticket to see them play for a natty while also giving them a South Beach vacation in January.

I think the get in price is $1800

It's going to be slightly louder version of the neutral/corporate game that we always get for the super bowl.
UM affiliated people are rich. It is a very expensive school in one of the nicest parts of Miami. State school folks from the midwest who have to pay Miami hotel and food rake plus $1800 per ticket may just prefer something at the crib.
