Mendoza had to have thanked God about 8 times across two separate interviews. Like, we get it dude, you’re a believer….
He is untrained and inexperienced at public speaking and doesn't know what else to say; it's a verbal crutch.

If he's still getting interviewed like this when he's 30 and still keeps doing it, then you can complain.

This Indiana post game celebration is the embodiment of my favorite quote, from Field of Dreams,

"There comes a time when all the cosmic tumblers click into place, and he universe opens itself up for a few seconds, to show you what's possible."

Some sports jockey today suggested that the Raiders throw a huge offer at Cignetti with the assurance they draft Mendoza. Keep the train running. That would be entertaining...

He’s pretty polished in these interviews. I’m not writing it off as public speaking jitters.

He’s just a super Jesus freak. To each his own. Bugs the **** out of me though.

Let's talk about Oregon for just a second: Instead of no showing in the quarters like they did last year, they waited a round to get boat raced?

Progress!

Polished /= no verbal crutches. Heck, even the best orator of the past 30 years (Obama) had some verbal crutches (generally took a trained observer to notice them, but they were there).

He could be a Jesus freak like Tebow. So far I haven't heard that, but then I haven't been paying that close of attention. At this point I'm willing to grant 22 year old, emotion running high, resorts to his crutch.

Did you watch him with SVP? Dude was more natural at interviews than most pros.

Maybe I'm a cynic. He's creating a brand like Tebow did. I don’t see a difference between him, Tebow or Shedeur. The only difference I see is how they're perceived.

Mendoza was incredibly accurate. Long sideline passes to the outside shoulder that couldn't be defended.

"Indiana went 3-9 two years ago. They entered this season with the most losses in FBS history."

Build a gigantic NIL fund and they will come.

This was prescient.
