Typically we do not travel well unless it's a game in California where we have a large Alumni base. Cu fans did travel well to UGA last year and looks like there will be quite a few going down to Tempe for the ASU game this year. I'd suspect that the number of CU fans showing up in Morgantown is going to pretty small. 2-3k maybe? Then again, a lot of east coast alums may go.
i have 2 questions myself
a) will steve slaton leave early (please, please, please)?
b) why do so many former wvu players get in conflict with the law once they are in the nfl?
don't know about slaton... i would not blame him if he did cash in though... have you heard of noel devine? he will be the next star RB at WVU... you can watch HS film of him on utube.. reminds me of barry sanders, no joke..
as for pac-man and chris henry... thugs with $$$$ nuff said....
12,349, book it.:smile2:
I will be in Morgantown. Im sure Philly has it on his radar.
count me in
you are welcome at my tailgate.... i welcome all visiting fans, except pitt fans.. i can promise you there would be two back yard brawls that day...
Im in Cincinnati so it will be about a 5 hr trek if I got good info. Will prolly stay Fri/Sun depending on gametime, etc...Will defenitely have to nail details once it gets closer! Thanks.
good... you can't miss me, i live 300 yds from the south end zone... you'll see a bunch of drunk bib-overalled, banjo pickin, moonshine drinkin, **** skin capped, 2 toothed mounty fans getting primed for the CU game... just stop by...
CSU fans in Morgantown too? Whoudda thunk it.
sounds like my kind of party! i would think that my family will be making the trip. should be a good time!
So basically WVU fans are just like folks from Nebraska? Hmmmm. We may have some issues here...
K?....... pullleease..... might have one to many zero's on there. :smile2:
Easily. There were 4k in Athens
Easily. I was thinking in the 6-8k range. There were lots of CU folks there.
I would like to make that trip. We'll see if I can make it happen.
yes but that is in GA. ATL has to have 2K worth of CU grads in it. GA has culture.... Who is going to go to WV? Their idea of culture is a banjo, some sheep and a jar of moonshine. 1K tops I say.:drink::finger2::devil2:
I would bet that CU sells out its ticket alottment. It seems the fans pick one game a year to really travel for. We had a real good showing in Tallahassee a few years back and Georgia last year. ASU will be sold out for sure due to proximity. I expect the trend to continue for the many great games we have scheduled through 2015.
All the folks I talk to are already planning to go so we will see you there.
Nothing wrong with moonshine and banjos.
which would make their culture far more advanced than anything nebraska has to offer...
hello pot, have you met the Kettle?
I'm not so sure someone from ****braska should be bagging on anyone else's culture.
Waylons alright with me, especially with the hotties in the sig and avatar, but.....
Did WVU alum say anything about delusional? arrogant? myopic? inbred? sheep ****ing??
Sorry guys, but I'm just not getting the resemblance here...
Attendance smack is so weak... :smile2:
I will be there, fo' sho'.
Um, Rae Carruth anyone?
DC is only 2 or 3 hours by car. There are over 1200 alums in DC and suburbs (MD & VA). Lots it PA too.
3K is not a bad guess.
CU travels well to non-Big 12 venues. Especially to places we've never been to before. There was a good number of CU fans at Miami a few years ago, too. Maybe not in the 6-8k range, but 4-5K wouldn't have surprised me. We had two sections at the bottom and two sections in the top level. I wouldn't be surprised to see 6-8K in West Virginia.
And why do you think that is?
CU attendance will also depend on how may tickets WVU allots to CU. i believe the standard is 4,000 seats.
i remember there being a beef about CU's first trip to Michigan in that they only gave CU 2,000 seats but CU still offered the standard 4k to Michigan on the return trip to boulder.
the above is to the best of my knowledge and we all know about that....:lol:
that being said, i would think that as long as the program improves and plays competitive games this year, i would expect to see 6-8k buff fans go to the game. no problem.
if the buffs tank and have a horrible season, are not even competitive and show no signs of improvement all bets are off as to how may will make the trip.
my family, i would think will be there no matter what.
