Future QB?

I'm talking about offers, not stars here and if you would ever listen, not sure if they teach that at Auburn but I said in some cases stars are valid and some aren't. Other kids have had offers from OU, UT, etc and went on to have great college careers. Slider is acting every highly regarded player is a flop by listing only one of them.

Well, did they teach you at alabama, ISU,UCLA and every other school you back that CU has not done very well with 4-5 star players having great college careers or even good ones? Please name the 4-5 star players at cu over the past 10 years that have played like their high ranking.

Well seeing as how I actually go to CU right now I wouldn't know.

And BB, how am I trying too hard?

Those schools have 3 times the 4-5 stars. If they have 3-4 guys that don't pan out it's nothing, the other 15 do.

So, prove him wrong. Name the numerous 4-5 stars that have worked out at CU. I mean, a superfan like you must know these things.
CU hasn't signed all that many 4 or 5*'s though since the ranking sites started in 2002-ish and five of those years were from the Hawkins error or transfered when the scandal broke.

No I was saying that stating LSU, Oklahoma, Texas etc is not a good barometer to measure future success by

Sure it works probably more often then not but basically saying he will be good because of such and such offers would be incorrect.

I'd wager that more 4* and 5*'s have worked out than not.

I'd wager you don't know who half these guys are and when they played.

Some still playing so verdict out but de neinhuis, Mohler his junior year and P-rich have played up to their ranking. Werth was decent.

No offense here but some of you guys on AllBuffs are VERY FREAKIN jaded, negative and also sometimes surprisingly harsh in attacking fellow Buffs fans. I think a dose of realism is valid given our history, but how could so many of you be so negative about our QB situation going forward? Let's start with Rip. May not be the best QB coach in the history of the world but he is good with legit NFL coaching experience. He knows what it takes to get to the next level.

Now let's talk about our QBs this year vs. next. This year: 1.) Hansen; 2.) Hirshman; 3.) Schrock
Next year (my projections at least): 1.) Wood; 2.) Hirshman; 3.) Dillon (RS unless absolutely needed).

Wood's physical tools, track record, offer sheet and reported performance all lead to the conclusion that he is a very talented QB. Does anyone on here honestly want to argue that it is unlikely he is better than Hansen, and probably BY a long shot? Hirshman has some experience and is not bad but not going to take us bowling. Dillon is also the real deal judging by his HS performance and his leadership he is already showing helping with recruiting. Let's hope he RS next year, learns the offense, then Wood rocks it next year and also starts his senior year while Dillon gets mop-up duty (hopefully after blowout wins!) during his RS Freshman year. Then he will start Sophomore-Senior year unless we recruit someone better than him in the next year or so...

Cheer up guys-if you are going to be this negative about highly talented recruits and transfers than what's the point of even rooting for the Buffs? Without optimism and a belief we can win soon with upgraded talent and more time for our coaches to get on the same page, than what do you have left?

Go Buffs

Hey, dumb****. The "negative" people you are talking about aren't saying Wood is going to be a bust. They are telling the dumb**** sunshine pumpers that pegging him as our best QB since Detmer is foolish, since he has never even played a down and with such expectations, it is likely you will be disappointed. Especially with our recent track record with top recruits. Do you understand, or do we need another five pages of discussion for you to still not get it?

Tini 0 everyone else 40. Tini you should put as much energy as you do in being wrong towards getting laid.

If tini' could get laid he wouldn't be here.

Most of us here are married, cuts out all the time spent on the chase. The majority of guys here who aren't married are old enough and experienced enough that they have figured out the most efficient way to use the time spent on the chase.

For tini' if he was getting any results from the chase at his age he wouldn't be spending so much time here.

WOW....this list is frightening.

Has to be taken with a grain of salt, the only reason that a lot of those guys came during the Hawkins era was because they had high risk factors that chased away other schools that were their prefered choices.
