Just my observations. Not sure there is a minimum time frame in which someone is allowed to make simple observations about the dynamics on this board.
If one wants to make broad sweeping observations without looking like an idot, probably longer than that.

But wait... you're not a member of the Junta. Now I'm confused. Darth, how much longer until I am able to understand how Orr fits in?
Do I need to be a member of the Junta to know that they're in lockstep agreement?

To this point in the season, what have the Buffs done that would lead anyone to believe they will win a conference game? Much less win one next week?

Beat CSU. CSU is no worse than the bottom of the Pac-WSU, OSU. Also, Oregon looks lost, doubt has crept into their heads. Helfrich/Neuheisal likely won't know how to combat it. Win the turnover battle by 2+ and we're in this game.

Man, we're due! Also, I am traveling out to see the game so it would be a nice present. We don't need anything more to be hopeful damn it!

I'd actually say that it has more to due with our opponents. OU just suffered one of those program defining losses (62 points sound familiar). ASU and Arizona are definitely vulnerable as well to go along with OSU and WSU. If Colorado can't get one win out of those games then the writing will be pretty thick on the wall at that point.

That's the downside of such a soft OOC schedule - really hard to tell how good (or bad) this team is.

Worst thing that could have happened to CU is the Ducks getting crushed. Instead of looking past CU they now come in wanting to avenge the beatdown they just took. Sefo looked like crap again. Not only did he overthrow wide open players again, he missed at least 8 plays where he had multiple wide open guys down field and never even recognized them running free. We had a few more turnovers in the red zone and special teams are still nothing special. And this was against a college that has no business playing football. Watching yesterdays game was like watching a practice. Watching all the Pac games last night every team we play from here out will be favored by at least a TD.

Why is it assumed that Oregon is just going to bounce back no issues at all?

Because until proven otherwise I assume every other team in the Pac has way more talent and way better coaches than us. I assume this because we only win 1 Pac game a year.

Helfrich is not a good coach. Oregon has no QB and their D is extremely vulnerable and really bad. This isn't a Oregon anyone has seen in a long, long time.

Their QB is still better than our QB. Their D is still better than our D and to date Mac has not proven that he can coach is the Pac so I still give Oregon the edge there as well.

I didn't see the game, listened to most of it. Things are kinda hectic right now. If I was coaching, Sefo would have sit this game. He keeps getting shot up every week, I'd guess he'll have to get surgery after the year is over. I've never had that injury but my brother did and played with it. He had to get 2 surgeries. We have no bye week, they could have used yesterday for that. His shoulder isn't gonna get better but it sure as hell can get worse. Running game needs to be the focus to have him finish the year. He is tough as hell but we need to be smart about it too. Make no mistake, Oregon is gonna be pissed and try to hit him as much as possible. They know where he is hurt.

Did you watch the game, or any of their games really? I would take Sefo over Adams or Lockie right now. Their D has given up 42, 31, 28, and 62 points, but they're better? Come on. Helfrich was able to cover up his issues by having Mariotta at QB. He's gone and there are big time leaks in their boat.

Oregon was a no-hoper heading into the season. The Utah game shows me they might be more vulnerable than they have been in years, so from that standpoint it is a positive even though I still think we lose comfortably.

The thing that worries me about this game is how we tackle in space. They are weaker than usual but they still have athletes. We can't miss tackles.

Unfortunately I agree with this. Hopefully, the team's mental state of mind took a huge boost after watching Utah do what it did IN Oregon.

Cool. Then we should win. No problem.

And they have scored 61 twice and 28 against Michigan St on the road and lost by a FG. Our D was abused by a CSU team that by your own words was awful. We can't tackle for crap and our LB's are invisible. Sefo has looked like crap against 4 horrible teams and you still think he will somehow elevate his game?

abused? That's a nice hyperbole.

The point I'm making is that if your defense is **** and you have nothing at QB you are a vulnerable team. Oregon is exactly that. A healthy team doesn't lose by 42 at home to a good but not great team.

It is funny how an unbiased source considered Sefo a top half PAC 12 QB (#2 going into this week) yet apparently he's so awful. All the while Lockie/Adams are near the bottom.
