COLORADO v Michigan OFFICIAL Game Thread

Fields said something to the effect that guys just gave up after they lost the lead. He also said team had no confidence in Montez, so when Sefo went down so did the team.

A lot of you seem to be anti-rugby kick. I'm more anti-Punter who can't kick decently when on the move. I suppose I'm also anti-call for a rugby kick when the kid you have sucks at it. I really don't know how not to be frustrated with that part of today's game, with the staff, and with Kinney. Maybe it was just a bad day, and it will all look better soon.

The way I look at it is that I almost never see a blocked punt at the next level (NFL) where there isn't even the threat of a rugby punt and better athletes coming from the edge. This simply doesn't happen unless a punt team is completely overmatched or out schemed.

I'd prefer that he keep that inside the team, but I like that he's stepping up and calling guys out. They turtled after Sefo went down. He's speaking truth.

Gamboa got picked on but on a lot of those tight end drags he was picked so that is a scheme/ pass rush issue/

I don't like it at all. He's not trying to motivate Montez, sounds like he's trashing him. I'm not a fan of little sawed off WRs in any event, though I get that he had an OK game. If I was the coach, all of the WRs would be over 6'1".

Hey. **** that duplicitous underhanded snake Davis Webb.

It needed to be said.

Well I'm pretty sure some conversations will be held tonight. Hopefully, it'll be what do we need to do to finish? Montez's teammates need to have his back right now. Dudes mind is going everywhere. Shay needs to be there for him not against him. I agree with the "telling it like it is point" because that's exactly how it is. Put this one away, do some work on the side with each other, get ready for Oregon.

It was kind of awkward and Kordell really didn't do a good job interviewing. I don't think he meant it the way it came out.

No kidding. Play calling was horiofic...turtle time.
We need to blame Lindgren. When the play calling is good, it's Chev making the calls. So, obviously, for some reason Lindgren took over the play calling after Sefo went out.

About the final margin I thought it might be but I expected a lower-scoring game. Michigan seemed to take over both lines and we couldn't stop those outside runs. Needless to say, our ST's were a disaster and the Sefo injury totally changed the game.

Great contingent of CU fans in AA for this game, good to see.

Peppers is a great all-around player and if Jackson stumbles he could become a Heisman front-runner.

Yeah, I was watching the game with an Allbuffer not named Burrito, and we discussed the inability to shed blocks on those.
Dont need to shed blocks just need to take out those pulling linemen, diving at their knees is usually effective.

I swear, that punt block was the same exact one that Hawaii used in the opener last year with Frazier stepping to the inside and whiffing. I don't think it was his guy who actually got the block, though. Looked like it was someone who came from inside where CU actually had a hat on a hat & should have picked it up.
3 guys were right there. Bad blocking scheme or just bad execution?

That's tough call. As long as he isn't naming specific names it's more grayish for me. If he starts throwing out names he better shut his mouth.

I am very proud of this team! subtract 21 points and it is a 1 score game. Punting and covering BUTT were the undoing.

This is a 7-8 win team still with a little bowl game.

Welcome to the Fight

You guys will beat USC. They suck.

1 for 13 3rd downs...terrible
65 yards rushing...not going to get it done
2 yards average rush....pathetic
Throw in blocked punt, bad punt...
not winning games with those stats

and just relized Montez did not complete a single pass?? throw in that 2 yard av rush....yea, I would say the um D was coming after him

Sure. Agree. But played an excellent team on the road and a lot of those stats got overblown after the Sefo injury. Buffs were on pace to put up 30-40 points against a damn good defense. I'm not really worried about the offense. This game was lost on special teams.

People act like we just played Idaho state. Yeah the offense struggled and they put up 28 points on the road to a top five team, man that's terrible.
