Basically he said that patience is a lost virtue in college football and that people aren’t willing to stick it out in the hard times. And then the announcers said that Mel Tucker “bailed” after one year. Then Rick said that this is a build project and social media talks negatively about the current situation but we (fans) need to stick it out and be positive
I am quite prepared to be patient. When the team isn't total crap, I will start buying tickets and gear again. And by total crap, I mean go .500 and get to a bowl. Such a low standard, and CU FB cannot meet it.

In a perfect world this meltdown would be for HCKD what KU was for FHCDH and Oregon State was for FHCMM…but we’re stuck

Patience??? This program has been garbage for two decades with the exception of a few blips of mediocrity.

At the pre-game Buff Alumni tailgate, RG grabbed the mic and told everyone that Dorrell is going to be the coach for a very long time. Not one person clapped or cheered. I have been a RG fan for years - but honestly, the guy cannot read a room and I am now convinced he doesn't know what a true coach with vision and intellect is - cause Dorrell ain't it!

Lewis will be a good QB
We have another loaded room of WR
We have good RB's
Russel is a solid TE
The OL surprisingly has improved a lot the last 2 games

And yet, it is obvious that Play Design, Play Calling, and Play Creativity is so abysmal that these poor kids have got no chance to be the best they can be because the offensive coaching is just so poor it is sad and amazing

How much of a douche-nozzle is Wilson? UCLA threw 44 on the board, had two TD's called back and missed a FG and extra point. The score should have been 62-20!!! If RG and Dorrell do not focus directly on OC and DC replacements, a mass exodus of talent will occur and this program will be dormant for a decade.

It’s sad that CU has only been ranked #1 for seven total weeks in their existence.

what’s worse is that we are SO far away from that happening again it might be after I’m dead…and I’m 46.

**** you, Rick. We've stuck it out for 20 years! How does he not get that?

Holy ****! Glad I didn't go this year. He's absolutely clueless.

My god, that quote from Rick George is such a small time quote. What did we do to deserve this ****
What did he say?

Edit: Never mind. I saw the post with his comments after I posted this.

Couldn’t watch it live. Just finished watching the recording and reading the thread. Yuck. I don’t even know what to say. Our offense looked great early then just imploded. Our defense is horrible.

There’s only 44 teams that have ever been ranked #1 for any amount of time. That’s 34% of the total amount of FBS programs. The fact that we’ve been ranked #1 ever is a pretty decent deal.

As far as the future goes, if you’re wanting CU you ever again be ranked #1 you’re inviting a lot of heartache. With players now able to get paid disproportionately for attending the largest programs with the most ravenous fan bases, the rift between have and have not programs is only going to grow wider. Unless there’s a fluke season where CU pulls off one early Buster Douglas performance against a top program, then stays hot through October while all of the top 15 keep taking turns losing at the wrong time, this team will never be ranked #1 ever again. This same fact is true for probably about 110 out of the 129 teams in FBS. Program turnarounds to national dominance like what McCartney and Schnellenberger accomplished in the 80’s will never happen again anywhere. Those stories are no longer attainable.

All of that said, with a good coach this program could hand consistently in the top 25 and occasionally threaten top 10 territory, and that’s nothing to sneeze at. Unfortunately, our present coach blows.

You just never know what will inspire Ralphie to post something. If I did know, I'd use it in the politics forum.

Good to see you man!

The fact that HCKD is emotionless in the sideline is obvious, but I am actually far more concerned with his lack of communication. Rarely do you see him talking to players or assistants. Communication is so critical in football, even the basics of asking players what they are seeing on the field, etc. Don’t need him to be rah rah, but it’s as if he doesn’t know what to do or say…
So your saying that the coach should actually coach?
