Another Player Has Left The Team...

Junc will be by to remind you he thought of this first in 3..2..1...:smile2:

No need... :smile2:
How's Mama Scott's job doing, by the way?

She was fired when she came back from lunch today, of course.

i just want to note that innerwebs message boards probably played a role in all this. with so many people on every single Buff site posting that scott should leave, is it really that impossible to believe that it got back to him? and if the hardcore fans are in his ear to leave, what would a reasonable person's conclusion be in that situation?

while i agree that he wasn't utilized correctly and i further agree that the staff is bordering on inept, i think we need to acknowledge that the innerwebs bears some culpability in this matter. there is a reason that coaches hate fan sites.

all that said, there is nothing to be done about it, really. these forums are open discussions. i do hope that the decision is soon made to replace this staff. otherwise, the bitching that will inevitably escalate here and everywhere else will impact recruiting in a negative way.

i am filled with disgust at the state of the program, along with a nice little side dish of self-loathing for our collective behavior in this unseemly affair.

You may or may not be right about those comments having an impact on DS. I hated them from day one. But may I say, if he was influenced in making a decision like this by the opinions of a bunch of total strangers, that he is being ****ing stupid? I realize he's a 20 year old kid and that's not the most emotionally stable place in the world, but seriously? Letting a bunch of dickwads on the internet influence your education decision?? Not ideal...

i seen this coming since last year if ya read my posts well some did i got alot of red but its ok for the red though...maybe i should have a thread....called.....NEXT ! just a thought let me sleep on it there will be more leaving remember jolly, calhoun ok ill stop with those 2 but there will be more...damn i hate being right on this !!

Most likely DS read the dp that Bohn agreed that Hawk wasn't going anywhere, freaked and pulled the plug. At minimum he will have two springs and a fall to learn the schemes, if they have one, before transfering.

I can't believe it is UCLA, because their oline sucks also, even with Kai. Given two more recruiting cycles maybe they will get better. Remember he brought in Cable who announced five OL will go pro. However, it took Marshall to make that happen.

Rumor has it that Ricky and Norm are clashing about using a true freshman at QB (Chow hates it). It would make more sense to look at Oregon or USC who will graduate somen RB's when DS becomes eligible.

I thought USC had the top two RBs for next Feb's signing date, and have letters of intent for two of the top 5 RBs in 2011. All those "extortionists" who are funneling money into those Trojan backpacks are going to have a hard time recovering those, uh, loans.

Let's hope Darrell's GPA is over 2.6 or he's going to cost us in APR. I really don't want our new coach to be saddled with lost scholarships due to the low APR scores during the Hawkins era.

I just found out. sunuvamuther fukin bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do I even bother follwing CU anymore this season. I keep telling myself to quit, that it only depresses me, and now as if I couldnt feel even shhittier about this asshole Kawkins being the coach I come here and then check Rivals only to see it plastered on the front page.

I should've waited until someone else told me Hackins was fired before I started reading more about CU. This is the f-in lowest I have ever seen the program since I became a fan in 1988. I'm sure the hemorrhaging if players will continue as this turdbucket is still here. No confidence, no more wins, the players have no faith, the fans have no faith, only Bohnhead is sticking to his guns and it could cost him his job.

We are living through the Fairbanks or even worse in CU football right now.:sad1::sad2:

If this makes Bohn finally figure out it's time for Danny to go, DS did his teammates the greatest of favors.

well, it ain't worse than the fairbanks era. it just feels like it because it has been so long since we've obtained such an epic level of total crapiness.

also, in between fairbanks and now, we've had some of our finest moments. so the fall from those heights to now hurts more.

the end is near for the juicebox. there is no light at the end of the tunnel. the easter bunny is on the bench, santa claus transferred to ucla, and the tooth fairy is out for the year with an injury.

Darrell Scott came to CU at a time when we needed to land a top recruit. It did not work out for him or CU. He could of chosen almost any school in the country. Since Scott has been here CU has not been a running team despite claims to the contrary by the coaching staff.

I really don't blame him for leaving. If he waits another year he won't really get an opportunity to go elsewhere.

I wish him the best.

This is going to be Brian Calhoun all over again...only more embarrassing. Scott is a thoroughbred and he is going to light it up wherever he lands. If it's Fucla, Norm Chow will find a way to get him on the field and we will look like even bigger sh!theads for not playing him more. Mark my words.

Great...I wish the BUFFS the best. We have been dealing with this crap from Danny long enough.

I just don't see it. I will take the opposite position and say he never becomes the number 1 back at UCLA.

I see in todays Denver Post where Hawkins said he would not address any questions from the press as to Scott leaving the team. Geee, ther's a surprise!

I think Brian Calhoun is a much better comparison for Scott than Marcus Houston. I believe he'll light it up at UCLA.

Ricky has not exactly been know for having great RB where ever he has been.

Would you prefer he tell the truth and get into a tit for tat with DS in the media? I do not think the coaching staff would have a lot of nice things to say about DS. I'll also tell you this. I don't think the team, in general, is sorry to see him go.

and you base that opinion off of what?

Man, I don't know how to answer that. All I can say is that I've been told so. And that the kids care about Hawkins and like him. And that they believe they really are close. And that there are kids that are RSing that are very, very impressive.

I've probably said more than I should have.

so the rumors of large numbers of kids thinking about transfers are also not true? I mean, its weird that you are hearing vastly different things then every. single. other. person. I am sure there is a core of players that love hawk... but a majority or even a vast majority of them? and that they didn't like DS as a player and don't mind him leaving? You are going against the weight of the evidence man :sad1:

I think you answer your own question.

I did not say that either.
So NOTHING IS TRUE? The team doesn't love hawk, The team isn't transferring, the team does love Darrel? I am now confused  make up your mind man. DBT goes against the weight of the evidence and you use his word to say other rumros aren't true, but then won't agree that what he reports is true. Take a stand!

I believe I am really close to perfecting cold fusion....
