October 1st (1.30pm-FCS Pacific) - Washington State @ Colorado - GAME THREAD

And it's Hawkins' recruits still playing. ****** playcall on 3rd and 6 though. Why not run a draw, if you don't get the first tick the clock to one and pin them inside the 10 with less than a minute left.

Also play smart defense, Safeties deep, Polk should not have been even thinking run in that situation, Linebackers defending the first down marker, zone blitz to confuse the defense, DE or DL dropping back to cover the halves. Terrible coaching in the final 2 mins.

What can you expect from a D that's playing a converted TB and WR as DB's?

Again why are we playing a converted RB and WR, with Jonathan Hawkins, Moten, Olatoye healthy, are they that bad that a WR and TB with no experience will do better. People forget that Hawkins is a 5 year senior, is he that bad.

Obviously if they aren't playing.

says you..
I already went over this earlier in the week. Real fans stick through it through and through and don't give up even when it sucks like it does now.

Well. That was depressing. Crowd seemed to expect the loss. Wasn't nearly as jacked up (except the students, good job students) as they were against Cal. Crowd should have been better.

The offensive playcalling at the end was atrocious, after being good for most of the game. Silly, soft defense on WSU's final drive

Listen, even if this staff sucks, we know one thing - they tell it like it is and put the best players on the field. Coaching is somehwat to blame for this loss, but you gotta keep it in perspective. Like I said, they are doing what they can with what they've got. Although I agree a draw on third down was the way to go.

I dont know what you saw but I saw Perkins screw up not Polk. Coaching wasnt to blame for his error. Your telling me that a senior safety doesnt know, if anything, he absolutely cant let someone get behind him in that situation? Im sorry but I dont buy that for a second. That was a player error pure and simple. As far as some of the play calling on O, especailly late, I agree with you guys. That 3rd down call was terrible. All in all, the play calling on O was pretty good.

Was that Perkins who let him get by? All I saw was a guy 20 yards past the safeties.

It was #7, im pretty damn sure of it. If im mistaken, my apologies to Perk. It absolutely cannot happen in a 2 deep safety look, Perk should know better. That is if it was Perk and im about 99% sure it was. Really dont matter though, it is the cardinal rule. He bit on a sluggo route. You let them have that underneath stuff, just keep them in front.

There is a reason why hes been playing so deep at times this year and you saw why. He doesnt have any make up speed to correct a huge mistake like that. I wish he would have just tackled the guy, 15 yards is better than a td.

michigan's playing? what channel?? who do they play next week? I'll always bleed black and gold, but this season is not worth disrupting anymore of my weekends.

I'm with you. I stop my weekends to watch the Buffs after looking forward to them all week only to be let down week after week, year after year. It's simply not fun anymore, not worth the effort, I'm rooting for the Sooners and the Gators. Grad school team and local team.

It's just not a good buy. If I had a car that I loved, had lots of memories with it, but it kept breaking down and leaving me stranded when I needed it most; it just doesnt make sense to keep it anymore. Every time I start the engine I hope and pray that this time it will run and it'll be trustworthy only be let down after I'm 20 miles down the road and have a long lonely frustrating walk home. It's time for a new car and a new team.

I long for the days when CU was kicking arse and taking names but alas I think those days are long gone and will NOT be seen again for a long time if ever again.

Do I really need to say it?

Agree ... don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out (or do).

another fan bites the dust. And another one's gone and another's one gone, another fan bites the dust.

Dear ol CU will only have about 5,000 fans left....

See ya. I may stop by if and when they return to the top 25 on a regular basis. Call me fair weather, call not a true fan, doesnt change the fact the school doesnt present a product worth buying.

Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya. You're both a ****** and fair weather fan.

can't remember the last time you posted here, so i'm kinda confused why you think we care.

You're not giving me a reason to think otherwise. Go ahead and jump on the OU/UF bandwagon. It's real easy to root for those two.

You are so right. It is much easier. Those two schools actually care about winning. They invest on multi-million dollar facilities. Their states support those schools a lot more the CO does. CU could disappear and the state could care less. Last in state support. Maybe they should go private. Maybe $20M /yr from the PAC12 will help but the local support needs to vastly change before the program will have the same level of success it had during the Mac years.

Comparing SEC football to CU football is apples to donkeys. The stadium was full today even after 5 years of bad ball.

How are we last in state support? We average more than UNC + CSU + Mines combined.

I hate to say this because I dont know you. Saying that, I dont think you have stopped being a CU fan. From the sound of it, you never were one to begin with.

I dont mean within CO, I mean CO supports CU less than just about every other state supports their flagship school.

I'm still a fan, always will be, but just I dont expect anything from the program anymore. To expect a winning program is just not realistic and simply fraught with letdown after letdown.

I wish the BUFFS were a top ten team, it's not the players fault. They play their heart's out, just not talented enough for top BCS football. i blame the coaches, the previous regime mainly, the administration, the state, and the local Coloradans who really dont care about CU that much (although competing against several Pro teams doesnt help).

But we're only talking about a 53K seat stadium here. And yea, it was full - after the first quarter.
