'11 CA K Jake Van Ginkel (Signed to Boise State)

Boise can definitely use a kicker. Hope Jake does well. Family seemed cool.

Wow, he didn't even wait for the official visit ... well, good for him. Seemed like a nice kid and definitely a talented leg.

You know ... it's only a verbal, right?

Thanks for being a part of the website 7rock good luck to both you and jake

Good luck, 7Rock and Jake.

We'll keep an eye on his progress. Thanks for coming by --- & wish Jake well for us at BSU.

Didn't know 7Rock was his dad. Good luck to your son. Being an kicker takes some serious cajones.

the Trojans already have received a verbal commitment from Andre Heidari of Bakersfield Stockdale High, a senior regarded by some as the nation's top kicking prospect.

(I wouldn't go so far as to call Hedari the top anything prospect, but USC likes him.)

It seems that not only was USC right about their decision to pass on Van Ginkel, but they saw something in Heidari. Heidari's performance as a true freshman, even only playing 12 games due to sanctions, places him 3rd in the Nation. If allowed to play 13, he could easily have been the Nations #1 Kicker. http://www.cfbstats.com/2011/leader/national/player/split01/category07/sort01.html

As for PATs, he is tied for 1st with 50/50.
