2016 CFB News & Notes (National)

rumor and innuendo, but you guys seem to like bad news about Butch Jones

Losing three games in a row and falling out of the top 25 for Tennessee has reportedly led to a players only meeting, which might mean some bad news for Butch Jones.

A number of reports suggest that Tennessee football’s players are possibly quitting on their head coach. The existence of the meeting has been confirmed by Jayson Swaim but what happened during it is speculation.

We don't like bad news about food cart....we love it.

He is the doppelganger of Brian Kelly. BK succeeds at CMU, Foodcart does as well, BK succeeds at Cincy, Foodcart does as well, BK gets primo P5 gig, initally successful, flames out. Foodcart gets UT P5 gig, does as well.

I wonder if Butch goes around and buys the cars BK trades in.....

Or if he's, you know, acquainted with BK's wife?

Yikes.

Maloata was arrested at 1:48 a.m. Sunday, hours after Oregon's 52-27 home loss to Stanford, after his car was reported as driving through a red light near the Oregon campus before colliding with another vehicle near the intersection of East Broadway and Hilyard Street, according to Eugene police.

Officers suspected Maloata, 19, was intoxicated and arrested him for DUII and reckless driving. Methamphetamine was then found after a search of the car, and Maloata was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance.

How did he not commit to Nebraska out of HS?

Actually sad deal. Firstly throw the book at him, DUI whether alcohol or other substances puts others at risk.

Secondly meth is nasty stuff. Hope that after his legal issues get dealt with they can get him help to make sure he doesn't ruin his life through substances.

Third, getting harder to see Helfrich hanging around much longer. Oregon now thinks of themselves as an elite (they aren't but that doesn't stop them) and this is just another part of the wheels falling off.

Wilton Speight (Mich QB) will miss the rest of the season with a broken collarbone. Not that he was special, but puts a lot more pressure on the defense to carry them even more.

Washington's defense took another hit. Losing Mathis really took down their pass rush. Today it's being reported that LB Azeem Victor, one of the teams best tacklers and most active players, will miss the rest of the year with a broken leg.

Sucks for him. I hate to hear about these
