Obviously he hasn't learned his lesson from previous infractions. Lucky he didn't lose control and kill somebody. My guess is a 1 - 4 game suspension
Right. Wasn't there also some character issues with Cliff?Let's just say I was very surprised the Ducks were able to get him qualified. Most schools had him written off as a JUCO placement.
Oregon's ****ed on this one.
The car he was driving was rented by a member of the Oregon faculty/staff and provided to Harris.

It will be interesting to see - with LSU in the opener.
Last month, linebacker Kiko Alonso pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of trespassing and criminal mischief. He received two years probation, 200 hours of community service and alcohol treatment. He was suspended "indefinitely" by Chip Kelly.
We'll see whether "indefinitely" ends when fall practice begins ...
I don't see anything coming from this. But I imagine that fine is gonna be pretty hefty. I wonder who pays it?

Wasn't Blount suspended for the season . . . until he wasn't?

"Hertz matched the license plate number provided by police with the name of a woman who had the car rented at the time of the incident.
University of Oregon on-line directories show that woman as a member of the faculty/staff.
NCAA rule 16.12.2.3c states:
I love her story!
An institutional employee or representative of the institution's athletics interests may not provide a student-athlete with extra benefits or services, including, but not limited to: The use of an automobile.
"So, I rented the car for my own purposes on Friday. Cliff Harris and his licensed friend, who showed me his license, asked to borrow it and paid me the full amount in cash that I paid for the rental," said the woman, who agreed to speak to KEZI, on condition of anonymity.
The woman, who describes herself as a friend of Harris over the past few months, said she was unaware Cliff would be driving..."

The fine is going to be on the order of $1500. The speeding ticket is around $1100 mandatory and the no license is another $400 (and no, I don't know this from personal experience).
An Altima will do 118?
Well, I rented it for me. But these kids asked me to borrow it see. At first I was skeptical but then one showed me his ID. I assumed of course he'd be driving, and after I saw the cash (NO I didn't rent it for them!) I decided that this was a good. It happens to me almost every day. I had no idea they were students! Student-athletes! I'm horrified!
Thanks for the coaching UofO NCAA compliance director...
Who just hands a car rental over to the 19 year old - with a suspended license, who was ticketed three times in the past 18 months????
I can't believe I forgot this but the Ducks open with LSU at Dallas stadium and apparently this is the 3rd speeding/driving without a license charge in the last 18 months for Harris. This is going to get interesting.
