I’m sure most of you saw Prime’s address to the team regarding slow starts. If you didn’t, Deion is aware and focused on starting games better and he put the onus on the coaches.
You only improve on things you prioritize. So it’s comforting to know Prime has made starting faster a point of emphasis.
To me that means scoring first, being up by at least a score at the end of the 1st quarter and at least two scores by halftime. It means establishing field position right off the bat. That means we begin drives closer to our 40 and they closer to their 20.

Talked to ASU alum. They see this game as very winnable.

Alums are older & faded. Which times out well for them, because without a uni class schedule they're available for day shift.

Actually, TCU and NU had a lot of non-productive ones and a few big runs. USC had a lot of non-productive runs and one big one. CSU didn't have ****.
Oregon was an ass-kicking all around, so it's hard to quantify.
Throwing Oregon out, it really has to do cutting out the big plays and our run defense will be solid.
I'm sure the fish was past its date.
Finally watched USC game on tv.
I think Miller is going to be a big matchup problem for our opponents. Meaning our offense is about to open up again like when Hunter was out there.

I read somewhere that you can steal 2-3 possessions by doing that!

Hearing discussion about this being a mid-afternoon game in Arizona, temperatures expected to be in the 90's.
Conversation about how the Buffs aren't used to that kind of heat.
I would be much more concerned if we didn't have a team that is mostly made up of guys who played high school and/or college ball in the deep south.
97 in Tempe is hot, 92 in Jackson MS with 90% humidity is worse.

Yeah, pretty sure this was the conversation leading up to the TCU game and the heat was over 100 on the field with TX humidity. This is going to be similar conditions they practiced in this Summer in Boulder. NBD

Does it matter if a quarter, a 50 cent piece, or a silver dollar is the coin that is used? Or a non minted fungible car wash token? I also need the weight of same, the thumb strength of the official, and the wind speed. I need data.

4 been moved to the TE room. Something to watch. Probably won't play this week or next week at TE but with Harrison's struggles at run blocking and Yelverson or the other TEs not really adding too much value otherwise. This maybe a breakout move for Javon. We all know he's capable of great play, we just haven't seen it and maybe WR is just too hard at this level for his player type. I know he can play, TO wouldn't be working with him.
