With Hansen as the QB now, how do you see the buffs in the second half of the seasn?

The big problem is we need to win at least 4 of the 6 to become bowl eligible. And while most of the games appear to be winnable, they are also very losable as well like Boulder Buff said. And with 3 road games left, we have to win at least one of them.

We are in first place in the north and control our own destiny, can we do it???

@ Kansas St: Buffs still have to prove they can win on road, Hawk still has just 2 road wins. KSU had an impressive win yesterday over a bad team. This will be a huge test. Little nervous about this one.

Missouri: I called it pre-season, and still calling it now, Mizzou is not as good. I would rate Kansas a little better than them this year. It's payback time on Halloween. Mizzou could be riding a 3 game losing streak coming into Boulder.

Texas A&M: Probably our "easiest" game remaining. With the way our team is playing, I don't see us losing this game. Embarrasing if we do and we don't deserve a bowl then.

@ Iowa St: Again, look at Hawks road record. We have not won in Ames since 2003, and the buffs are 0-5 on the road in November since 2005. Not a gimme game.

@ Oklahoma St: probably our toughest game remaining. Okie st has gone through a lot of injuries and ineligibilities this year, but are still playing good football. Would be surprised if we win this one.

Nebraska: Feeling a lot better than I did. It's at home, it's a rivalry, and unless NU's offense dramatically improves, I like our chances.

My guess - from most likely to least likely wins...

    1. aTm - We're at home and they're not good. One win, no excuses...
    2. ISU - Best shot at a win of all the road games. They're playing better, this one won't be easy
    3. KjSU - See ISU, except Snydely has KjSU playing better than ISU is
    4. Mizzou - @ Folsom this one really probably ranks pretty close to #2 & 3. Gabbert is going to be a challenge for the D.
    5. Fuskers - Could very well be a bowl bid on the line. We've got to find somebody on the o-line by then who can at least slow down Suh
    6. Okie Light - Not the team expected at the start of the year, but on the road still the toughest game left...

I picked 3-3. I think we'll win the home games, lose the road games.

Seems about right to me. Need one road win for the magical 6-win mark, just do not know if it will happen.

I understand with the road games, but you don't think we'll steal one from KSU or ISU?? Again, completely understand with the way we have performed on the road.

That's what I'm thinking, that we will steal one of those 2 road games and win all 3 home games. It's pretty bad when we're saying that we "should steal one at ISU or KSU". :sad1:

They are going to have to prove it to me. Hawkins teams have just been awful on the road.

and the last two trips to Ames have been gruesome exercises with the Buffs finding ever new ways to blow a game....with long term effects. Barnett goes in the tank after the tornado game and the fluke fumble TD for ISU. Hawk pulls his famous go for it up 21 and we tank and lose costing Hawk a winning season and maybe a better bowl game.

I'll go with 3-3. Big key is next week vs k-state.Win that, find a way to beat mizzou and a&m at home and then isu you'll have 6 wins and a bowl.

I think we beat a&m,ksu and mizzou and lose at isu, osu and to red at home.

Yep, that game is the one out of the group that is the hardest to pick as well. It is a game based off the last 20 years, especially 10, where anything can happen and the home team is gonna have a huge advantage.

I went all out in with 5-1. I'm thinking we lose to one of Mizz, Neb or OSU. That being said, Hawks road record scares the hell out of me and the teams we play at home aren't gimme games.

w/ TH, I believe the WRs will get better, and the running will also improve, and we have a chance at going 4-2. I'm being hopeful here of course. DH hasnt won a road game since TT 2 years ago, I believe, so the next will speak volumes more about the direction of the program,

we'll see if it actually POPPED or just temporarily cracked.

CU is not going to beat Kansas, Nebraska, AND Missouri this year. Simply not going to happen.

i think it could very well happen. MU looks beatable. after the Illinois game, they haven't been anything special. I never count out CU against NU.

will it? maybe not...but I think it's certainly possible.

Leash, what makes you think you guys are in first place in the north? KSUcks is in first right now, and we have a three way tie between CU, NU, and KU. Granted you beat KU so that takes them out.........

first off, I think we'll go 3-3... no major analysis, just gut feel. I like our chances against ksu, Aggie U, ISU, and a little less positive about NU, okie lite, mizzou....

secondly, nice rep worthy post

I didnt vote. All I care about is beating KjcSU.

It seems like a very long time ago that we had a two game wining streak or played good on the road.

I think it's all momentum at this point. If the Buffs beat K State this weekend, they go on a tear and win 'em all except OSU. If the Buffs lose at K State, I suspect they go 3-3, with a honor salvaging win v. NU.

The 5-1 scenario likely means going to the championship game. Dare I believe it? Yeah, what the heck, why not. Just remember that kids DO respond to juice boxes -- that's why parents and teachers pull them out....

    I voted 6-0.

Even though it's hard to feel all that comfortable about any of the games, it's also clear that the Buffs won't be looked at as a "should win" by any team remaining on the schedule if we've taken care of business and stayed healthy up to the matchup.
