Nebraska tailgate

Do we think parking passes were oversold to the point that if we arrive by 7:45 to lot 436 we will be out of luck? Or we should be good?

You genuinely don't think we will have a spot? Even way up in the parking garage?. Earliest we can get there because the babysitter is coming at 7.
Big Noon will be taking tons of spots, which will displace folks. Plus, a lot of people will show up just for the TV program and to tailgate. I think your options will be limited when you finally get to campus around 0800-0815.

We got the babysitter to agree 7 which means we will get there like 7:25/7:30. Sucks but it’s what we can do

This is an early game.. 10:00 am MDT. What time do you start at the tailgate? I am staying at the Millennium Harvest House and walking up to the tailgate.

First of all, it has been 6 years since I have been to a home game. Does the Harvest House have a tailgate like they did in the late 90's? I'd like to come to sackygate and put a few faces with the names on here but my family won't eat or hang out long. I have a kid with celiac so we are limited with food when I am with him.

I am + 4.

I stayed at the harvest house 2 years ago and they had nothing.

Excuse me. That's the Koelbel Lot and it shall not be disrespected!
I guess I need to learn that history so I don't step on my dick. First time in the lot (we were always in 216 but it was sold out before we had our pick). Care to give a history lesson?

Big noon isn’t taking that many spots from what I can gather. Just happens to be our regular spot so their broadcast truck and other associated service vehicles will have a good place to set up. They’d honestly be better served to set up their truck(s) right next to Farrand Hall, as hardly anybody tailgates there. But whatever.

My plan is to be there at 6:00 AM sharp. Maybe even a bit earlier. It’s going to be crazy. But this ain’t my first rodeo, as they say.

I’ll give folks another day or so to RSVP and then I’ll post assignments. I’m going to bring breakfast burritos. It’s too ****ing early for me to cook for all the people who will be there. @PhillyBuff - I’ll give you an easy assignment that you won’t be able to screw up- bring booze. You can handle that, can’t you? Booze. And if you want me to be more specific, make it vodka or tequila. Both of those make for good morning drinking opportunities. And don’t bring cheap ****.

Which reminds me- now is probably a good time to go over the tailgate etiquette.

everybody has to bring something. If you RSVP in the thread, you will get an assignment. I try to get a feel for how many people will be there and assign accordingly. If you don’t RSVP but show up anyway, bring something. It can be beer, booze, food, whatever. Just don’t show up like a dork and expect to be fed and drinked for free. This ain’t socialism. Or maybe it is. In any event, BRING SOMETHING and don’t bring ****ty stuff.

Assignments coming in a few days. Carry on.

I will comply. Jews (I actually have a split religious family) always bring stuff to a party (usually a shiva). It is also Jewish law that you DON'T leave the shiva with anything. You can not bring home what you brought and you CERTAINLY CAN NOT TAKE ANYTHING back from a party that you didn't bring in the first place. Had you known I was 1/2 jewish, I never would have been a suspect for anything missing (silly people).

I will show up by 7 am.

It’s not just the set and trucks that’s going to take up the space. The mass of people wanting to be on tee vee will take up space too.

I think your 0600 arrival is spot on.
