CU - The Betty Ford clinic for rehabilitation of disgraced coaches.

CU is one heck of a salvage opportunity for hot-shot coaches trying to maintain dignity while repairing a reputation.

It's beautiful natural setting is hundreds of miles away from that Athletic Department and rabid fan base that ran you out of town for your indiscretion. It's in a "major" conference, but without the kind of radical fan expectations that cause night sweats in the SEC or B1G.

Chances are your wife will enjoy the shopping and you might loose some extra pounds eating kale, quinoa, and flax.

Mr Sweater Vest, Jim Tressel, can you show cause not to get back into coaching?

Art Briles, how long can you cover up your need to give young men second chances?

Lane Kiffin, wanna get high on Boulder football?

CU has an opening for a defensive coordinator. We pay top dollar for damaged goods. If you can keep your nose clean for two years, and otherwise do what you do best, the next step back to respectability at some other program that pays top dollar can be yours.


University of Colorado will buy your ugly house coach. Flipping distressed properties is our niche.

Dave Logan? Uhh no and no on the other too. Did people smoke themselves retarded or something? Find your guy and let him work. If you pick that CO bull****, that's two different opinions.
 
Sorry to distract from... Whatever is going on here... But does the fact nothing has been announced yet mean Tumpkin is not the guy? Or just that we are doing a really search and not promoting Tumpkin without seeing who our other options are?

Well we waited until around signing day to hire from within with Hagan last year for no reason, so I'd say it's still within the realm of possibility.
 
I'm cool with that but I'd hope they'd let recruits know. I get the go to the school and not for the coach stuff. Question is, will folks do that?
 
Bob Diaco won a Broyles Award in a year when the only bad thing that happened under his watch was his star linebacker mourning a woman who did not exist. That guy made it to the NFL. He can sit in all the creeks he wants here.

Tbf, blitzing on every play will probably get you into a situation where you completely have to abandon the run and can't kick anymore in a hurry.
 
We could bring Leavitt back to Boulder for one more year by making a three way deal with KSU to buy out his Oregon contract. After a year he would succeed Snyder and we wouldn't have to deal with his defenses in conference play. Maybe we could get Oregon State, Stanford and UW to chip in. Its time for a new era of complicated deal making in CFB.
