Official Washington State Game Thread (10/21, 8:45 on ESPN)

I'm actually a Montez guy. Appreciate Sefo and think we do miss his leadership and checks, but Montez is playing very well.
His deep ball has been terrible but other than that, he is doing pretty well all things considered with the OL or middle of the field threat.

I'll take it. Zone read is what Arizona is about. OSU is all about Ryan Nall. WSU is all about Falk. Getting him to hand off the ball is a win.
This is why I said in the Arizona thread, that CU's defense is likely to have a better day against WSU than they did against AZ.

Getting back Udoffia will be huge with this game. If he were not playing, CU would need WSU to have a Cal like game with 7 plus turnovers to win. Will probably have to put Udoffia and Oliver on islands to generate pass rush up front.

They have got to stop this garbage. Who the hell is watching football at 10:45 in the east?
What I think is even worse is starting a baseball playoff game at 9 pm, multiple nights in a row, in the middle of the week. Those things last 4.5 hours and they are sloooooww. Now that is madness.

Sounds like a bursitis injury? If so those usually flare up every time they are hit so I would imagine he would be in and out of the lineup for a while.

Where is his bursitis injury?

It definitely flares up and makes it a pain to extend or move. NBA players get elbow bursitis all the time from diving on the floor and weird contact and stuff. It’s really messed up Blake, Melo, and Kyle Lowry (in the playoffs too) the last couple years because it just keeps swelling and making it impossible to shoot. I can’t imagine it in the knees if that’s where Udoffia is dealing with it.

That’s what he said in the podcast that it was actually his knee and fluid was leaking so I was assuming that was the injury.

I read a bit about it, it's a joint injury I guess and the joints have a bursa sack or something. Apparently Peyton Manning had one removed before the SB they won. Must be serious **** though, the article I read mentioned it best treated by stem cell therapy. I think Peyton even had it in college as a problem. I remember my brother and I watching him in a bowl and he was pretty ****ing bad in it. I got to looking at his knee and turned to my brother, I was like, " wtf happened to Peyton's knee?". He said Bursa sack, I'm sure y'all knew my answer lol.

Here's what it looked like on Joe Montana's elbow at the end of his career when he couldn't throw a ball more than 30 yards.

Could be wrong but that looks like the playoff game where Joe beat my Oilers. Painful memories. Probably as painful as Joe's elbow.

I don't see the picture but don't need to really, I remember who gave him that boo boo, Leonard Marshall about broke him in half in a playoff game when I was a kid. Joe still played I think but that hit ****ed him up pretty well.

I think that was the one that broke his back and opened the door for Steve Young in SF. This pic is at the end with the Chiefs when he had that bursa sack on his elbow that would swell up like a cantaloupe.

I see, it was a brutal hit and I didn't know about his back mind you. Pretty sure that's not all he hurt on that play. I don't remember much of his time with the Chiefs really except the Monday Night game with him and Elway, epic.

CU needs to stay with WSU scorewise. We do not want to get a couple of scores down and have to throw the ball more.
