I just saw a link on the Rivals board to a UMass article confirming we did a 2-for-1 with them. They'll start in the MAC but could certainly end up in the Big East by the time we play them.

I also found future schedules that list San Jose State (2-for-1) and Minnesota for us. http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa/big-12/colorado-buffaloes.php

We're also supposed to have another home game against Fresno State in some future year, making that series a 2-for-1.

The Pac-12 / Big Ten partnership is also targeted to begin in 2017 if they can make the contract work.

Finally, there have been 2 rumors floating around. One, that we're working on getting an SEC team on the schedule (mentioned on CJ's radio show). Two, that we're going to look to kick off our Big Ten series early by filling that 2015 open date with a Big Ten game since we have an extra slot from playing at Hawaii. We really need to get a 6th home date for that season, though.

The thing that really jumps out at me is that it becomes very difficult to keep the RMS in Denver and still get 6 dates at Folsom every year. If the Big Ten series happens and that is used to balance the home schedule against the 9-game Pac-12 schedule (so there are always 5 home/5 road locked in), I have no idea how we have a neutral game every year and still get 6 home games. The only way it works is if we schedule an FCS team every season.

Would everyone be cool with that if we knew every year our schedule would be 9 games against the Pac-12, 1 game against the Big Ten, 1 neutral site game against CSU, and 1 home game against a FCS team? That's the only way the RMS works for us. Are we prepared for CU have a schedule with such little diversity?

    2013 Schedule:
CSU (Neutral) - Sat, Aug 31
TBA (Home) - Sat, Sep 7
Fresno State (Home) - Sat, Sep 14
    Pac-12 - 4 Home, 5 Away

    2014 Schedule:
CSU (Neutral) - Sat, Aug 30
UMass (Away) - Sat, Sep 6
Hawaii (Home) - Sat, Sep 14
    Pac-12 - 5 Home, 4 Away

    2015 Schedule:
Hawaii (Away) - Sat, Sep 5
UMass (Home) - Sat, Sep 12
CSU (Neutral) - Sat, Sep 19
TBA (TBA) - Sat, Sep 26
    Pac-12 - 4 Home, 5 Away

    2016 Schedule:
CSU (Neutral) - Sat, Sep 3
    San Jose State (TBA)
    TBA
    Pac-12 - 5 Home, 4 Away

    2017 Schedule:
CSU (Neutral) - Sat, Sep 2
    San Jose State (TBA)
    Big Ten Opponent? (TBA)
    Pac-12 - 5 Home, 4 Away

    2018 Schedule:
CSU (Neutral) - Sat, Sep 1
    San Jose State (TBA)
    Big Ten Opponent? (TBA)
    Pac-12 - 4 Home, 5 Away

    2019 Schedule:
CSU (Neutral) - Sat, Aug 31
UMass (Home) - Sat, Sep 5
    Big Ten Opponent? (TBA)
    Pac-12 - 5 Home, 4 Away

    2020 Schedule:
CSU (TBA) - Sat, Sep 5
    TBA
    Big Ten Opponent? (TBA)
    Pac-12 - 4 Home, 5 Away

    2021 Schedule:
Minnesota (Home) - Sat, Sep 18
    TBA
    TBA
    Pac-12 - 5 Home, 4 Away

    2022 Schedule:

The PAC 12 has to drop that ninth conference game, it just provides teams with too little flexibility and adds six extra losses a year for the conference.

    Look at that 2020 schedule.

Imagine if the Big Ten opponent is away and CSU uses its option to play the RMS at Hughes.

To get just a 5th home game, we might end up having to schedule a FCS team. Something's gotta give.

I think it may not be this year, but you will see Bohn end this CSewe game before the contract is up. Put a couple of more beat downs on them, have them continue to struggle in the MWC, and lastly the MWC conference dropping into irrelevance will pretty much take the political pressure off of Bohn in a couple of years.

When McSparkles fails over the next several years and they do not get an on campus stadium and then they do not get into a BCS confernece, it will die on its own.

This program can't even get bowl eligible and people want to kill the only game we are going to be favored in 90% of the time and have the talent advantage over every year. Makes perfect sense guys.

Got to kill it. Kill it with fire. Then piss on it. Then reanimate for about 30 seconds so we can kill it again, but this time with feeling. Then we **** on it. Then we piss on the ****. Then we package it all up in a box and send it to Lincoln.

Not sure if serious or if trolling. We haven't done **** since 2004 and have gone 66-84 since 2000 with 39 of them coming from 2000-2005, or 59.1% of them coming in those years. We need all the wins we can get.

if the game would be played at folsom every year when CU was the home team, i would be fine with it. CU can schedule another win if the series is killed. as it stands now, the game is a ****ing bore. the fans hate it. it looks terrible on tv and it provides little to no benifit to CU and the city of denver is not exactly welcoming either fan base with open arms. the game at invesco sucks ****ing ass. kill it with fire.

its not about the win. some other patsy can be put in its place and CU gets the win. but in folsom.

csu can play thier "home" games where ever they want.

    Those prospective schedules are boring.

We really need to get out of that CSU contract.

Also, I understand the rationale behind the PAC12/Big? partnership, but it really kind of sucks. I would prefer us be able to schedule whoever we want for OOC games.

Is there a serious option to kill the contract? I thought there were no outs available to us.

What amount of money would we have to throw CSU's way for them to rip it up? Even then, I imagine the Denver Sports Council has some say in the deal, and I doubt they'd be interested in killing it (unless attendance gets real bad). Would we just not play them, and dare the Denver Sports Council and CSU to sue us?

As long as we keep growing our season ticket base at CU, ticket sales will never get that bad. We're at 25k and that should be growing to 30k in the next few years. Add in students and CU is filling half the stadium before we factor in single game purchasers, walk ups and CSU fans. Attendance may be lower than that, but it's almost impossible not to sell at least 50k seats.

What about CSU's attendance though? It was abysmal last year and I don't see it improving?

Politically, we aren't in a position to get out of the deal right now. We would get absolutely shat on by every media outlet in Denver (yes, even more so than now). If you are truly in favor of the series ending, you need to vote with your feet, not go to the game and hope we are laying 40 point beatings on the lambs. I.e., make the end of the series as appealing to CSU as it is to CU. To me, that only happens if are winning by six touchdowns every year in an Invesco with 25,000 fans.

The alternative solution to ending the series at Invesco is probably more likely - Bohn gets enough sway before 2020 to get a few of these games at Folsom.

I think they've got a minimum to sell regardless of how many they actually sell. Mile High is covered on tickets and it's a cash cow for them. But the CSU sales are a factor in making them amenable to ending the series. If they aren't making the money they are supposed to because of ticket purchases, they may not want to keep doing it. Also, if they do get their new stadium I bet they would want to open the stadium with the CU game rather than play it at Mile High.

Serious. Look at our schedule in 17 and 18. We don't have an FCS game, and one of those San Jose St games is on the road. We already have good exposure in California for recruiting and allumni contact. Why not schedule and FCS team those years? If you really want to schedule a (2-1 against a bottom of the bucket FBS program, why not schedule someone like Texas St, UTSA, or Rice?

I think there was some miscommunication on my end. I thought you were saying that playing bad teams did nothing for us. My bad. As for the San Jose State game, not sure what the benefit is other than a win and Texas exposure would be nice.

    Three reasons:
    1. A win in CA - something we haven't done in a while. We need all the CA road wins we can get and I don't see us spanking any of the P12 CA teams, except UCLA, anytime soon. Road wins in CA = good.
    2. When CU plays at SJSU it will be about as close to having a home field advantage outside of CO as we will ever get. The CU contingency in the Bay Area is huge and the Spartan's regular crowd is really small. I wouldn't be surprised if the ratio of Spartans to buffs is 1:1. Hopefully we will not have remnants of our road monkey still on our back but if we do this will be a good easy win for us.
    3. The buffs playing 5 mins from my house!!

We need W's in the worst way, Im fine with the schedule. That said, Id like to get back to playing anybody, anywhere. That was one of the big things for me personally becoming a CU fan. CU just isnt ready for that at this point. Maybe a few years down the road it will again be how it's done. As far as the CSU game, Id be more than happy for it to go away. I really see nothing in it for CU. If we win, we're supposed to. If we lose, the sky is falling. I just dont see it as important for CU going forward, we got bigger fish to fry imho.

9 conference games + ****** treatment of fans while at the Denver locale = this series should die. NOW.
