September 24, 1994...

Junior year, living in Gregory Creek Apartments, watch party at our place. Pony keg of Killian's on hand. Lots of ROTC guys over. Lots of beer imbibed. Got so mad during third quarter threw a beer on the Jeep parked outside our garden balcony. Still amazed to this day that I had the capacity to remember to go outside to throw my beer in disgust.
Continued drinking and general malaise in the house into the 4th quarter. Thought it was all over when Rashaan fumbled. Even when we got the ball back I was like "BFD" and went to the head where I started to hear a lot of excitement. Came back out to see the TD to get to 26-21 only to have everyone tell me to go back to the bathroom. They were told to "**** off, it's my house!"
Started with another beer that did end up on the ceiling when I signaled "Touchdown" when Westbrook caught the ball, picked up my girlfriend (now wife) and gave her a big ol' smooch then we all commenced a huge dogpile in the middle of the floor while my roommate fireman carried Ms. Rack around the room.

Oh, and Kordell lived in the apartment above us - needless to say, not much sleeping happened in Gregory Creek that night.

I was at a family friend's house for a fairly large gathering in North Boulder. All of us kids were out in the yard playing football. We were all yelled at to come inside to watch end of the game. Pretty pretty awesome.

I was just following the lead of the post previous to mine, but you're probably right.

Yeah ... blame it on the old guy who mis-remembered a detail from 20 years ago.

And I wasn't even drunk.

Don't know why I thought it was Salaam. Maybe it was the sheer determination he showed running the ball on the subsequent scoring drive. And I remember being impressed with his attitude after he scored the TD ... he waved off his teammates coming to celebrate with him as if to say "Hey, we don't have time for that ... we can still win this game, but we've got work to do."

Was at a buddy's apartment in La Salle, CO. My wife and I had been married exactly two weeks. I don't do well when watching the Buffs on TV. When it looked like all hope was lost, we left to head into Greeley to get some shoes at the Target there. We decided we'd come back to the apartment and hang out, even with the close loss. We were resigned to the loss but were just watching it to see it to the end. ITB, who was there as well, didn't have shoes on for some reason. He went running out of the apartment and slipped on the tile floor and did a face plant into the wall across the hall.

Good times.

yes ... remember it well

socks & a tile floor don't mix when one is jumping up and down after their team pulls a win out of thier ass-

At our apartment in Norcal and wife wanted to go somewhere. I wouldn't budge unril the game was over do we were standing, remote in hand to turn it off as soon as the hail mary was thrown so I could turn it off and leave. With the catch I was jumping up and down and screaming, and could hear yelling all over the complex. Never found out who else was a Buff fan there.

We were living in Manassas VA, which meant we got some idotic, ****silly, worthless acc game. Two top 10 teams colliding in the big house and our area was treated to some weekly pillow fight.

I was working on something upstairs when they broke in for the replay. I nearly hit the vaulted ceiling, and left a vapor trail down the stairs to hug/tell the wife.

I'm glad how it ended because it'll never be forgotten. However, CU stopped themselves a ton in that game.

Was 12 years old at the time. At my neighbor friend's house watching the game. He was a huge Michigan fan. All I remember is when Westbrook caught the pass I probably ran around his house 200 times screaming at the top of my lungs. I don't think I was ever invited over again. I will never forget that moment.

I was in the basement of the house I lived in while going to undergrad in IN. I was watching the game with another CO native friend of mine, but she left just before the end. When they got the TD, I ran out the door after her and we yelled in the street. Since I was in ND country no one else was really paying attention. They probably thought I was nuts.

Had some donor Tickets scored by my buddy Victor. Family in that area. Was thinking of leaving just because of the badgering of a bunch of people that had been in those seats for decades. "Hey too bad you came all this way only to get your butts beat". Heard that from about 6 sets of long time season ticket holder couples next to us.

When the play happened I just wasn't sure it was valid. And they were all dead silent. For like 20 seconds. The key was a pack of CU fans down by the field going wild. I flat out yelled at each of those long timers until they literally scattered to avoid my screams.

Then we visited every bar and screamed every time they showed it on highlights all night.

Priceless!

SIAP, but on SC they just did the top 10 hail mary's of all time in honor of the 20th anniversary. Ours came in at #5 and somehow Flutie's got #1 mainly because he ended up winning the Heisman that year.

It was in the early days of pay per view college football and Time Warner didn't select CU @ UM as one of the games you could buy. I had to find a bar in Jacksonville, NC that would televise off of their satellite dish... thanks Hawt for finding the bar... and joining me... and sitting on a bar stool for 3 hours while pregnant... and sticking with me even after I sang the CU fight song in a bar full of strangers after the Miracle happened.

I do remember turning the TV off in disgust but then deciding to turn it back on in another room. Thank goodness.

The one indelible memory that I will always have from that day is the sight of 106,000 stunned people remaining motionless and absolutely quiet for what seemed, at the time, like 20 minutes. It was probably more like 4 or 5 minutes before anyone started to head to the exits. I'm not sure if the scoreboard ever put the points up. It was truly one of the most surreal, exquisite, exciting, draining, ... few minutes of my life. Just an incredible thing to witness.

What message boards were you on back then?
No message boards, just hustling on the block.

I was a kid, don't remember watching the game, though it may have been on. Do vaguely remember everyone's lingering excitement after though.

Yes!

Will never witness that much humanity being quiet ever again. At least as it relates to sport.

When the Buffs upset Oregon it will happen. Of course that is in 2016, not 2014.
