What to expect from Davis Webb (NOTHING - Cal Bound)

I think Sefo will be ready to go. I'll bet that Webb saw that first hand when he visited and knows it is going to be impossible to knock Sefo out of the starting job. Sefo was running around Saturday and seems very confident. Should be ready to go and Webb wants to come in and start- not sit behind Sefo.

I have to believe this is the case.

I'll say it. kinda disappointed in Webb. He should stand by his commitment or he should not have committed to us. Our coaches backed away from other options once he said he was coming. If he doesn't show up here, then it is what it is and CU will have to play what we have. Some of these kids need to look at the grand picture and the repercussions caused by their actions.

If he doesn't trip to Auburn, I can understand it. A free trip to San Fran to get out of Lubbock for the weekend? Former coaches of yours on that staff, so some loyalty to at least give a courtesy visit. As long as he sticks with CU, it's easy for me to move past it.

Biggest fear is the kids from 'junior day' follow suit, if Webb jumps ship
Why would Webb have anything to do with their decision? He wouldn't even be here when they show up. Now, that said, it's going to be the usual stressful recruiting season leading up to the next LOI day no matter what. I'm sure there will be some drama, Webb or no Webb.

"I miss him so much ohhhh I cry myself to sleep! False. I do not miss him."

Oh... Too soon?

Maybe the CU coaches sent him on a clandestine operation to California. You know, to get dope on Cal. Yeah, that's it. I'm convinced. It's a clandestine operation.

You saying that CU will meet Cal in this year's Pac-12 CCG? Pass me the kool-aid please.

Sure. A lot is on Webb.

I'm also open to the possibility that perhaps coaches over-sold the nature of the commitment to all of us fans.

This ain't over until Webb enrolls somewhere. To think otherwise was probably overly optimistic.

Graduate transfers have a different calendar, so it's easy for a fan to fall into a NLOI mind frame about the timing.

Well:

Texas Tech graduate transfer Davis Webb told ESPN Sunday he is still considering Auburn and he plans to visit the Plains "soon." He will be eligible to play immediately this fall.

In my mind he seems to be gone but I certainly don't see it as a done deal.

If he stays the trip to Cal could actually be a positive for us in the long run. He and especially our coaches could tell prospective recruits "Hey, I went there, saw what they had to offer, and CU was the better option."

This is where I am at with the whole thing. We shall see.

If it were possible for me to feel sorry for an SEC team...it would be Auburn if their QB sitch sucks as badly as our does.
