Also, I may be wrong but most here wanted MM to succeed, the thought of another coaching change wasn't appealing but now there's no choice.

Fitting that this week is utah at home because since that game 2 years ago, it's been a clown show with the exception of the 5 weeks to start this season. But like clockwork, MM and his team fading late in the season.

I have been solidly in the MM camp until the OSU gam and have been further pushed into an irate stage with the lame excuse making by MM.

I know we are in a better position than when he arrived but MM is a huge poser. He does not have the sack or the intestinal fortitude for a P5 job. I hate to say it but @sliderNcider has been right. This guy is not fit for the job and needs to be run out on a rail.

I would give him until this Sunday with Jay being a senior. Let Kay and the Seniors have their day and then wipe out the staff Sunday. Make Chev or Roper the Head for one week. It does not matter at that point. Make the move and get it over with.

MM is done and has not future here. Move on and make Sunday the start of takingnit to the next level
 
I don’t see it. If they could have the record setting loss to a very bad OSU without even canning the line coach, this staff is bulletproof.

I think it pushes the 48 hour mark, but gets done just inside of it: Monday morning after Utah.

Letting mm coach jm for senior day is a reasonable thing to do (as long as you're taking the time to get a head start on the coaching search), and it builds a little good will in the coaching community, which is never a bad thing.

But I think Darth is right. He'll be fired within 48 hours of the next game. They'll plan to make it public Monday morning, but it could leak on Sunday.

They should do it sunday. Monday is the start of game week.

I think the move is coming as soon as this team loses again. Assuming that's Saturday against Utah, who gives a rat's *** who coaches the Cal game and a bowl game if this team makes one? Naming an interim is semantics. Just give me a coach in place before the early signing period and I'm good.

I think the coaches, and maybe team (which is where the leak will come from if it does) will all know Sunday - but the goal will be to hold it till a Monday AM presser (at which mm will *not* be present).

If we give a fired head coach a presser on campus, I'm going to be oh so pissed at RG. That was the dumbest ****ing thing ever.

Also, no way it doesn't leak within 15 minutes of HCMM being told.

What if RG decides to can him and let him coach against Cal and in a bowl game if this team makes one? The biggest thing as soon as the move is made is getting a guy in place for the early signing period.

Meh I think we're getting a little too granular-As far as the assistants, I'd like to keep Chev if he's willing to go back to just being a position coach, and I think you could make an argument for Drake and maybe Hagan. To me there's more than enough to not warrant some sort of audition for one of them.

No. It's really really stupid to fire a coach and then let him coach a bowl game.
 
I wonder if MM has been bringing empty boxes to the office. If I was him I would have my **** packed now.

Arizona State did it last year, and they're probably going to win the South this year. As soon as the move is made, the only thing that matters is getting the search done and giving the new guy enough time to prepare himself for the early signing period.

It's a stupid idea, and it was stupid when ASU did it. Winning the south this year is lowest of bars. Dig in if you want to, but the idea is dumb.

People need to realize this and stop with the “CU gonna CU” mentality. Nothing about the AD under George has been like the AD of the past.

Hagan has been nothing but mediocre. Look at our depth through the years? If it weren’t for Phil just being the dedicated player and tough workhorse he was, we would have never had a standout running game because of a lack of talent

I said maybe. Am I going to lose sleep if Hagan leaves the football staff? Not at all.

Outside of Adams and Jeffcoat (and obviously Bernardi), Hagan is arguably the most disappointing and underachieving coaches MM has had during his 6 years. Never really pulled in a big time recruit, couldn’t develop any actual depth, and actually lost a commitment from a kid who is a major contributor as a True freshman at a top 10 program.
