The 2021-2022 Coaching Carousel

I just cant help myself. Sometimes the comments are just sooo delicious. And its not like she isnt easy on the eyes. 🤷‍♂️

Its not my fault the plug in republishes the original tweet.
I’m pretty sure there’s already been a Petrino reference and there’s been a long discussion on how easy she actually is (not?) on the eyes

They brought in Vic So’oto to coach DL and moved Wilson to OLBs to make room for him. Mike was fine, but the defensive staff was majorly upgraded
I'm a huge So'oto fan and I would choose him over Coach Mike.

But I would stop short of how big of an upgrade he is, just because Mike proved himself as one of our best coaches. The fact that he got let go late in the process and found a spot as an analyst at OSU doesn't really degrade the type of coach he was here. I think he ends up with a terrific career because he's very bright and detailed. More of the new wave we see advancing in the sport. Never a player himself.

With that said, So'oto has much more experience.

If they had proof and thought they could make it stick I think they’d have fired him by now. I think it’s evident that they want to get rid of him.
Hope they end up getting what they need. The guy is a turd that needs to be flushed.

Auburn wouldn't be going after him if he was looking like the coach that they thought they'd hired. Nothing about Harsin's time suggested he was an up and coming superstar, Boise had slipped a bit during his tenure there. Such an odd hire for Auburn.

But wouldn't put it beyond them to have no real hard proof of wrongdoing, and it wouldn't floor anyone to learn it's fabricated. Probably isn't, but it wouldn't blow me away if we found out it was.

To be clear, I was not trying to denigrate Mike. I think he did a nice job here and by all accounts has a bright future.

Not so hard when his lawyers already knew about this affair and had the appropriate clauses deleted, which could trigger a for cause firing.
Had not heard that part. Interesting. No way I would sign contact without moral turpitude and harm to university reputation if I was Aub.

can he still be effective?
