The thing that turned Dykes from being a failure at Cal to winning quickly at SMU and even more quickly at TCU is that he was one of the most aggressive and smartest coach in terms of taking advantage of the transfer portal. He overhauled the SMU and TCU rosters exceptionally well.

If Coach Prime can blend that with UGA level prep recruiting going forward, we'll be elite within 2-3 years.

Cal was sort-of a failure (despite having a #1 overall pick). It’s just a bad job.

Saban is not hateable, but their fanbase sure is.
I remember going to the De Young museum in the days prior to the National Championship that was being held in Santa Clara. Bama fans were yelling "Roll Tide" to each other across the gallery rooms.

uga is ****ing good. we have a very high mountain to climb, but we maybe have a chance and i haven't thought that in forever.

tcu worked over a fairly ****ty conference slate and still got into the game. imagine what a pac school with enough athletes might be able to achieve. oregon guy is trying. usc guy is trying. ucla is pretending. utah is marching to their own drummer. we have a chance.

Oof at the UGA students dressed up a la Raiders fans.

If we ever have students show up like that, they need to have the error of their ways corrected.
Catching up on the thread after unexpectedly having a late meeting. They have had fans doing that since around the time I lived in ATL, around 20 years ago. It is more of a WWE reference.

Game is at a point where the refs are holding on to their flags to keep the clock running.

On the second down play two blatant holds by TCU, ref touched his flag but didn't pull it, keep the game moving.

Looked at the history earlier. Most of the championship games have been blowouts.

i feel a small bit of sadness for tcu. i didn't think that was possible.

they had a good year and played with a ton of heart over the season... uga is on another level.

ooh, the last of us trailer looked moderately interesting...

Big 12 is what I thought it was. A collection of mediocre to good teams, with none as talented as the Lincoln Riley teams which couldn't hold up against the true elites. Exactly what would have happened if any of the 10-win teams from the Pac-12 had made it. Now that I think about it, UGA proved this point in the opener.
