'12 CA TE Taylor McNamara (Verbal to Oklahoma)

he is an EE so fairly soon. don't think he has stated a front runner. like BB said, we have a pretty good shot.
 
Early playing time is very important to him and he was very impressed with Embree's vision for TE's FWIW.
 
We had an in home with him last night. Taylor then proceeded to ask Larry Fitzgerald if it was true that Brookhart didn't start him right away because he had to "earn his stripes."

Isn't having to earn one's stripes before starting sort of, um, part of the deal?

Pretty cool. How did he ask Larry Fitzgerald? Did Brookhart bring him on the visit?
 
UMich is having a in-home visit probably tomorrow some time. Looks like he is pretty high on UM and ND
 
He seems to be enjoying his Cal official visit. Per his Twitter account...hanging out with Stefon Diggs and Keivarae Russell.
 
rumors (not reporters) hitting the pay sites that he committed to cal last weekend. Wonder if it sticks?
 
Oklahoma stands the best chance at grabbing McNamara, seems this kid likes every visit a bit more than the last.

fwiw, I started to worry about McNamara when I heard we have targeted a new tight end (not sure who, yet). Hopefully we are trying to steal Taubler away from UCLA.
 
We shall see what the story is, but I always assumed that they were in prime position to nab Kourtzidis on his official visit next weekend.
 
he makes every school that he visits think they are gonna get him. This could be going on for a while
 
they got a lot to sell right now, after that azz-whoopin' they received from okie lite. You did notice how often the boomers threw to their tight ends, right Taylor? Taylor? hello?
 
If JE was in SoCal to close J.Stuart, maybe he sidetracked a little to go see McNamera. We can hope.
 
I think the fact that his OV to us was before most of the others will ultimately hurt us. Taylor seems to be pretty pumped up about each school right after he visits them.
 
AZ apparently has a scoop on Taylor, listed on the right hand side of his homepage. Not sure if it means anything
