2016: Recruiting News, Notes & Official Visitors

With the addition of Watts and the regrading of some our current commits on Rivals,

CU is now tied for #74 in terms of total points. Ahead of 3 P5 Programs.
CU is now ranked #49 in terms of average stars. Ahead of Utah and WSU, just behind Cal.

We land a couple guys coming to visit this week and recruiting might finally be getting close to where we all have wanted it.

Wow- 5 young men from the same school offered at the same time, late in the recruiting cycle; all evidently taking visits together? (More info about each in the article - http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2015/10/colorado_offers_five_players_f.html )-

"One of John Ehret's all-time greatest players went to Colorado and now the Pac-12 school has offered five more Patriots.

The college that helped send Kordell Stewart to the NFL offered John Ehret linebackers Michael Divinity and De'Jon Harris, athlete Ca'Ron Baham, defensive lineman Robert Green and safety Jarrius Wallace last Friday night.

Only Green isn't committed to another school – Divinity (LSU), Harris (Arkansas), Baham (Missouri) and Wallace (Central Florida) have all made their announcements public.

Ehret coach Corey Lambert confirmed all five players will take an official visit to the school together.

To add to that...

"Colorado is the alma mater of John Ehret great Kordell Stewart, whom Divinity says has already talked to the players about how things at Colorado are."

Another McChesney student.

Says 6'-7", 270lbs. Monster kid if accurate. Tackle/DE in High School, he pancakes so well though, idk how you don't put him on the OL.

Wow... I like the way he finishes his blocks. Seems like he'd be an ideal tackle.

Don't we have those 4 LA kids coming in this weekend? Haven't seen much about that.

Edit: Nevermind. It looks like it's 12/4.

No Colorado offer yet per 247, but I'd guess (???) a visit this late in the recruiting cycle means the Buffs are pretty interested in cornerback (247) or safety (ESPN and Yahoo) KJ Sails Jr. from Gibsonton, FL (East Bay HS). 247 has 27 offers out to the young man, with them guessing Wisconsin is the favorite for his commitment. (If he wants to head west, looks like Utah is the only Pac 12 team to have offerred so far.)

Note- also found an article that he committed to Iowa in early November, but de-committed a couple weeks later. (http://collegespun.com/big-ten/iowa/4-star-cb-kj-sails-de-commits-from-iowa)

Another player without a CU offer, but per the below sounds like the Buffs might be interested (and who wouldn’t?) in interior offensive lineman (247 lists him as both a center and guard prospect, his twitter profile includes “#1 Center in the West”) Toleafoa Sean Auwae from Kapolei HS in Kapolei, HI. 247 shows 16 offers already, and they’re guessing UCLA might be the favorite for his commitment. 247 composite rankings list him as the 5th ranked player at his position nationally and 3rd overall ranked player in Hawaii.

They should make sure that each prospect that likes NU and CU has to walk through the NU campus right before boarding the plane and coming to CU.
