CSU not ****ing around for once...McElwain expected to be announced as thier coach

... if they can turn-around the product and start drawing interest, then they could be in position to make a move in 5 years

What does CSU gain by waiting?...They need to get good press out there on their program.

IMHO CSU doesn't have 5 years. The CFB landscape is evolving way too quickly and they are a crappy program in a dying league with currently the lamest fan base in the nation. I agree with CUfan. The scrEWEs need to get their lamb droppings together in a hurry. Even if that means starting with an epic fantasy and praying like mad that it comes true.

Yeah, I don't really disagree. I think 10 years is a more realistic expectation if they're going to make the move.... the Utah model if you will.

I think they have 3 years to get it done before everything passes them by. They should also realize that are going to be doing the same thing that they're going to need to compete against.

CSU builds a new, pretty, on-campus red brick New Belgium Stadium and sells beer at the games. They already made a decent hire. If the money is there, this isn't impossible. And we should root FOR this, not against it. We will always maintain a 3-1 winning percentage against the rammies, but the wins will feel better when they are good.

Oh ****e - I completely forgot about New Belgium being founded and owned by lammie alums. If a stadium with that name happens, I will be required to stop drinking Fat Tire altogether. Can't fund that university in any way shape or form.

Sounds like a win-win....

I dont understand the affinity for csu by Pat Stryker, especially the football team. As I understand, she dropped out of UNC (not North Carolina), and is stricken hard by the liberal guilt that one feels when they inherit a $1.5B fortune, and spending money becomes your job. If you look at her philanthropy record, I would expect her to be anti-athletics in higher education. Anybody have any insight into her interest in csu athletics?

Let's flip her. That would be allsome.

Just get EB and Emburrito in the room and see what happens!

I have a response that would be very funny here but it is also a combo of pornography and racist terms. I'm sure some other posters know what I am referencing, but I dont really want to search the link on my phone to post it.

I detect a conscience desgised as laziness.

Your soul could be blacker (no racist)

i'd need to know what she looks like before i volunteer. that could impact the amount of necessary pre-gaming that would have to be done before launching the offensive.

I don't have a lot of real hard facts, but since I live here I bounce into events where she is either sponsoring, or attending I get some insight. Great, great person. Very down to Earth. She sponsors the Bohemian Nights and they put on the New West Fest(musical festival up in fort collins). I know she lives in Fort Collins and is very active in the community. Not sure why. I think your assumption about 'anti athletics' might be partially true, however, I think one of her philanthropic arms helped fund the stadium upgrade a few years back. If she had a choice it would be more art/music themed.

****, I will say it. Look up the "***** flip" video or gif. I think there is a website dedicated to it.

According to RN's... CSU should/will buy out their contract with Russell to go with Nike... but use some fan's jersey designs that have been posted

It's amazing how JM was never mentioned as a coach yet when he decides on southern wyoming university, their fans act like everything is going to come to them on a bed of roses.

**** CSU

Well...how did you make it to 28,492? A much more relevant question....
It'd be over 30K if the damned site server hadn't crashed back in ought five (or whenever that was). But my posts are all relevent and important and improve the human condition.

What amuses me is that they think these concepts are 'badass', when they mostly look like ****

Silver helmet in the second pic actually does look pretty bad ass. Everything else looks like mung from the five hookers Craig James may or may not have killed while at SMU.
