Clay Travis read Plati's email to his assistant on-air yesterday morning and it went something like this below. He also left Clay's assistant an expletive-laden voicemail:
Subject: Clay Travis
"Guy is an asshole. My coach is pissed. No questions about our program at all, he made it confrontational and Mike hung up on the jerk. Now Travis is tweeting about it like a badge of honor. Don't ever ask for an interview again from us again with Fox Sports radio, you guys are blacklisted here, and I will share this awful experience with my peers nationwide. Very disappointed."
Plati then went on to say that you shouldn't mess with him because he is powerful and has lots of powerful friends.
I wish he'd just shut up now. Let the **** go.
Who ever said Plati is a PR guy? He's the farthest thing from it.

Actually it's his job, read his bio. He has a degree in public relations and he's been in charge of media relations for the AD since the late 80's.

Plati should know better than to pull the "I have friends and will tell them to boycott you" card. We've all tried that **** when we aren't happy with someone we did business with, thinking they'd fall over backwards apologizing or something. Instead, they just blow you off and make you feel like an idot.

He's the SID. If his job is actually PR, he should have been fired 20 years ago. He better hope PR is NOT part of his job, 'Cause he's horrible at it.
As the SID, it is part of his job and he is terrible at it...that's what I said.
Pretty much everyone's job in the AD is to sell tickets.
Plati is really bad at his job when it comes to dealing with the public or the press. He's good with stats, but so what. He's kind of weirdly into esoteric stats. So clever, but he's failing at Public Relations and Media Relations.
It's time he goes.

Wow. Why do so many people care where this thread is on the board or if it's still around? ****ing ignore it if you don't want to read it. And why are mods completely deleting threads? Short of legit solicitations or inappropriate content going against TOS, what the ****?? That's bush league
