I don't like the complaints about moral victories every time someone says something positive after a loss. I hated losing this game as much as all of you guys. It hurts and it stinks and this was a game we could and should have won! I'm not preaching about a moral victory here, understood? Yet, for some reason: I have confidence in this regime and the future of Buffs football. I was a Hawkins supporter, but didn't feel this way except for the two weeks after the OU upset victory. With this new regime, I see a plan in place with seasoned NFL coaches who know how to make it all work. We're seeing adjustments at half-time and all throughout the game - and guess what, for the first time since Mason Crosby, we have a guy who can kick field goals and make them.
Does anyone think CU has more overall talent than CAL? Talent aside, this was our 2nd game under Embree..CAL has been with Tedford for a number of years and they have continuity and an identity already in place. We are just on the brink of discovering CU's identity. I could be wrong, but I just have a very good feeling that we have the right staff.
