yes.... I did explodeInthebuff is going to explode. STUPID is all I can say. Hawk said at halftime interview that they were obligated to go for it on the 2nd score. No dumbass, you kick the extra point and make it 13-7. We have the dumbest staff in all of college football.
He made the comment at halftime that "we had a little gimmick there."
LOL
Since Hawkins knows that CU can't kick an extra point, what choice did he have? I mean, it's not as if he can look for a kicker in these last few years, right?!! I mean - that would take The Minimum Level Of Intelligence to consider THAT action. And we know Hawk's not going to waste all his brainpower.

Go for 2 one first score, what kind of gimmick, get kirkwood to quit gimmick... I have never seen a call like that in all my years... We had to go for it the second time. This was a precise attack on Marcus Kirkwood and get him to quit, PREMEDITATED!!! I cannot believe what this staff pulled.. I am done, Meeting MONDAY

“Right now, Marcus Kirkwood is in the front of the line,” Hawkins said. “Those guys have competed all fall. It was very close between him and (freshman) Justin (Castor), so we’re just going to roll him in there and see how he does.”
When practice resumed Tuesday, Kirkwood had moved to the front of the line. And unless something unscripted happens, Saturday's first shot goes to Kirkwood, who at 6-foot-6, 220 pounds will be the school's largest kicker on record (as if size matters at this position).
The whole Kirkwood saga was VERY strange.
Hawkins made those comments on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at his weekly press conference.
Then, on Wednesday on the CUBuffs.com website, they posted this:
So the "first shot" rolls around, and they decide to run a 2-point conversion??? What the hell happened to Kirkwood??
Change of plans.
This smacks of pulling Tyler's redshirt twice -- always wondered if the big plan was to get TH made enough to transfer (like Ballenger) to leave the QB spot open. Not sure how you could have done worse than to ANNOUNCE Kirkwood was starter and then play Goodman anyway. Perhaps "money" doesn't like competition, either. When the fans and donors squeal that you MUST replace Goodman, say you will, and then get the replacement guy to walk away.
Not that our coaching staff would play those kind of mind games ... right? ... I mean that would be pretty unconscionable, right?
