Why the fans at CU are the reason why we are so bad

Tini used to do that until we finally convinced him that he was acting like an immature punk and was making CU fans look bad.

Sorry, Tini. We diverted you from a course that may have made you as much of a superfan as flyer in 40 years. Fortunately, flyer is here to mentor all of us to be as good at being fans as he is.
NO worries, it was true

Everybody needs to sit down, shut your mouths and open your wallets.

You are going to be patient.

You get what you get and you don't throw a fit.

You suck for voicing your thoughts. and your emotions on the internet.

You and you and especially you sit on your fat ass eating Cheetos and calling for Embree's job from behind some anonymous screen name. You are bad fans. All of you. Every last one. Yes, you too.

The #1 problem with CU are you so-called fans and your dillusion about CU being some great program. Everyone laying eyes upon this website is to blame.

Let me start by saying the posters on this board are delusional.

We're two fgames into Embree's second season and everyone on here is ready to throw in the towel. I guess I blame it on youth, Not football team youth but fans who are posting being members of the me generation. Hire a new coach and we'll win today, We'll be top 25 today. We're so much better than an FCS team, we should have won by twenty, We're so much better than a non-BCS team we should win by thirty.

Forget that we have freshman all over the field. Two starting at corner, wide receiver, Tupou is hella good and he's in a ffffflot. You guys are a bunch of delusional imps who have so much to learn about college football that I have to cut you slack for your complete ignorance, You will learn the beauty of college football is the parity. Bad coaching is HWSNBN losing games because of 13 penalties for 201 yards. Bad coaching is never letting your team get pissed off for losing. Bad fans are those who blame the players for a loss at Iowa State in 2005 which was clearly stolen by one crooked ref. Or blaming players for a collapse vs Texas which was clearly the result of an obsessed Boulder DA. You fans don't know the history except the box scores from the glory days. You wont shell out one nickel to improve facilities which are already being funded and built by better alumni who don't suck like you

You my friends, suck

We have a horrible reputation across the country because of you, Not because of the product on the field, because of you. you know who you are

I remember these kind of posts when I criticized Hawk during his 3rd year.

 this is comical....so to be a true fan you have to blindly throw your money at something and hope for the best just because you love the team...and when things go bad then you're surely to blame if you think about questioning why it is going wrong in the first place (despite repeated failings for years). Instead, tho, as a true fan we're supposed to continue throwing our money blindly and hope it gets better (even if it never does). If we all did that, then the fans really WOULD BE TO BLAME for accepting failure that easily (clearly as easily as this administration has been doing for years).

And the next person to say the "youth" excuse should be banned for plain tomfoolery....If you're going to try and make a case that Jr's and Sr's from Sac State that didn't receive a single Division 1 offer or look, and would have no business being recruited by CU should win on the road because they're more "experienced" you're a damn fool. Youth certainly will make mistakes, but under no circumstance should those same freshman be outplayed up and down the field by players not even of the same caliber talent. EVER. PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION!

BUT then don't dare think about making a logical case that we really aren't that much more talented than any of these schools, because then that would make me the reason for all of our losses for even trying to point that finger. Certainly has nothing to do with the coaches who recruited that "talent", and chose how to game plan with that "talent". Nothing at all.

Okay, I went all the way to page 7. Also, I sometimes open gifts on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas day.

I laughed at the crooked ref reference in 2005 at Iowa State. Who knew Tim Donaghy was also a college football official when he wasn't refing NBA games

Not so fast my friend. I don't ever eat Cheetos and I know Jon Embree. I am not calling for his job. I saw his kids grow up and grope danced with his wife, which I'll leave at that. Ah, that night! He is a good man and he is pouring his soul into this job. He may suck at it, and he has some tough decisions to make. He would take this job for free. No dillusions, no expectations but I have confidence in him. I, for one, will give him this year. I'm as pissed about the start of this year as all of you. Keep hope.

I suspect he intended to say the 2007 game, in which we were treated to an odd decision by Clete Blakeman to wind the clock, even though other refs don't do that following a penalty. Oh, and then he didn't spot the ball. In 2005, we were screwed by a tornado.

ME!

You were right. You saw it.

I was looking at good recruiting results and a 2008 season that only went downhill after a ton of injuries hit. I wanted to see 2009 (the "10 wins, no excuses" season) before making a final judgment. After CSU and Toledo, I knew it was over and wanted him fired after 2 games. I'm not quite there with Embree yet.

Embree needs to make changes on his staff before I get back on bandwagon. Sac State after being up 14-0? Inexecusable

Don't get me wrong, Im down. But just curious how I got nominated?

I think it's connected with flyer's OP. He seemed to be targeting younger fans especially. Although he does seem to be blaming everyone whose not on social security, so it's hard to tell who he's really pissed at.

Fail. You guys don't have a terrible reputation. You guys have a great history and I can see why you demand excellence out of your program.

delusional imps

i am an "imp"? what the frick is an imp?

wait. dont answer that. it may apply to me and thus hurt my feelings.

guys, i am sorry for all of CU's problems and i resign my position as CU's #1 fan.

I was right there with you, particularly with the halo (in my head) still intact from the OU victory - even though that was back in 2007. I pointed at the injuries in 2008 with no depth and it was easy to rationalize it away.

This time around, I am under no illusions. Losing to a FCS school, and losing to CSU, who turned around and got whupped by a FCS school the following week are really, really bad signs. If something drastic doesn't change, we are staring at a 1 win or no win season.

You guys really need to cut Coach some slack. He inherited this mess! He's got a plan to get us out of this mess, but he's just having a hard time explaining it to the people so they can a understand it.
Come on! He isn't even through with his first full term yet. We need to give him more time, a contract extension, and lots more of our money to throw at the problems he inherited and everything will all work out............

Oh wait. Wrong forum. Carry on.

Actually it is “YOU” Flyer. The responses on this board are pretty typical of any top program that falls on hard times. Anger and rage initially and as time goes on things soften and become more philosophical. Funny after 6+ years the same “losers” are still on this board, buying season tickets, holding tailgates, clothing their newborns in Buff gear and only threatening to withdraw support. 6+ years and they are still here.
As previously pointed out even in the PAC 12 this season there is plenty of solid evidence that a new staff can turn things around pretty quick. And this is by no means the only example. Calls for Embree’s head after 14 games is premature but he shouldn’t be given much rope and his assistants that are currently at the heart of this epic fail should be under a microscope – yes even now.
Parity in college football?? Are you serious? Every season brings its upsets but they really are far and few between and just that, upsets. After the bad game things get back to normal and top teams go back to doing what they do, contending for titles and top bowls. Should I go to Vegas and wager that Sac. St. will finish the season 10 -2 because they beat the Buffs and are stronger than anyone really knew because of parity. If parity is alive and well why does the SEC win most BCS championships and have two of the top three teams again this year?
And talk about blame you want to blame everyone except the team? I posted last week many different factors are party to this dilemma. Among them were some of the things you mentioned. I included poor media coverage, especially Denver’s, and a lack of interest across the state in general where everyone worships the Broncos but the Buffs don’t get much attn. and other factors. But surely players and coaches must shoulder their share of the blame. It wasn’t me that was there at practice this year making suggestions, working and critiquing the players and coaches. I was barred from even entering.
Tell you what, you seem so disenchanted with the fans here I think it would be a great idea for you to start your own Alan Alda Buff forum and recruit only the perfect Buff fans. You could even have a questionnaire to be submitted and screened prior to approval to this ultimate board. If you need some sample questions as bad fans we could certainly help with that. It would be perfect for you and for us because we bad fans would be rid of you and your sanctimony.

I’m Bad Fan F.I.M. and I approve this message
