Jon Embree Press Conf.

I feel bad for Jon. He didn't fail for lack of trying. He shouldn't have been hired in the first place. He was the cheap option.

I just think this isn't the most professional press conference by Embree. Lots of passive aggressive jabs at the school, and isn't setting the team up for unity going forth

He is so confident that they were going to a bowl game next year the he promised he would fly this years seniors out to the game.

nicely put Dio, same read I was getting

JE obvious feels like he was set up to fail. And he was. It's a ****ed up situation. But that doesn't mean it should stay that way. OTHER people who put him in this place should lose their job as well.

And I'm not pleased that he is taking no responsibility for the worst season in CU history

This is as much of a winning scenario for Embree as could be possible:
1) HC coaching experience on his resume
2) Can claim he was pushed out too soon
3) Made $3M over 4 years (the buyout usually gets reduced if they take another job to equal the difference between new salary and buyout). He never would have made that as a coordinator.

This wasn't working, it wasn't going to work. JE actually wins as much as possible. Great Buff that I am sorry to see didn't see work out as the HC, but there is much upside for him, given the circumstances.

I don't think there are any CU fans that didnt want to see a former Buff, who cares as much as him, get the job done. Unfortunately, things don't always go how you want no matter how much heart and soul you put in it. The bright side is, he can learn from this and do some work on his craft. Sometimes what feels like an end is a beginning. Maybe he can be the CU coach again someday when he's ready. Never say never.

Agreed. He doesn't feel he is in the wrong at all. He obviously has a case to feel slighted, but we all know that. No need to air all the dirty laundry.

So far nothing has been his fault.

And WTF whoever the next guy is you have 2 years?

Losing all respect

Needs to man up and say "I did not seize the opportunity"... Had his chance and would not deviate from his plan. Not 1 change to the staff after last years debacle and sounded very stubborn at the end of this season... I'm disappointed in him - all emotions aside

Don't like the fact that Embo is crying. Would just say **** you to the administration and then leave.

Sounds like Jon isn't doing himself any favors. No one wants to hire a coach that makes these kinds of comments, even if it is a position coach.
