Hawaii 10-wash 0

The last thing a football team should ever do in their first game with a new head coach is travel to Hawaii. When Sarkisian bolted and a new hire was in place, UW should have immediately negotiated to get out of that game. There is too much going on with your team learning a new system from a new staff and suddenly you're transported across the ocean to play your first real football of the year. At Hawaii is an enormous trap game.

USC set the conference record for plays with 105. Didn't think anyone other than Oregon would ever have that record.

Sark went up-tempo last season and it really worked for him at UDub. Damn. USC is tough enough to deal with when they just run base and out-talent you. Taking that talent and doing some schematic things to create defensive missed assignments and matchup problems is ****ing scary.

Hawaii pounds the rock right up the middle, when they go outside they don't have as much success.

It would be interesting to see how teams would be ranked if there hadn't been a preseason ranking and we just went off what we saw this week.

Based solely off on-field performance, Georgia or aTm would be #1 with Wisconsin making a case for it right now.

I would rate USC in the top 10.

Florida St finishes off Okie Lt, 37-31. Pretty impressive that #1 is willing to go on the road to play what amounts to a home game against a top 20 team.

I didn't think Okie Lite was ranked this year.

Not sure how much of a road game it was for them, that FSU crowd was pretty vocal at times. And Ok. State was not ranked in either poll

Meh. Didn't Okie finish in the top ten or close last season? Preseason rankings mean zip.

It doesn't really matter, but you'd never catch alabama doing something like that.
