Prediction Thread- Game 1- Hawaii

The amount of optimism is scaring me- I've been so disappointed before by the Buffs (Hawaii (last time), CSU last season, and Sacramento State come to mind immediately)

Can someone with more AllBuffs skills than I bump or link to the thread from the last time we played Hawaii? I'm just curious to see what we were all saying about the Buffs chances for the season and the game, and do a little KoolAid comparison.

2011 ANALYSIS:

OFFENSE: It is easy to see why the Warriors are considered the team to beat in the Western Athletic Conference this season. Moniz is considered the top offensive threat in the league heading into 2011 and there's little reason to think he shouldn't be garnering so much attention. The offense is returning just three starters from last season and suffered a significant loss with the departure of Salas, but like so many times before Hawaii will have plenty of other receivers jumping at the chance to become the next standout performer in this high-powered offense.
DEFENSE: Hawaii's defense ranked 90th in the nation in points allowed in 2009 (29.5 ppg), so to move up to 58th in that department last year with 25.5 ppg permitted was a huge step in the right direction.

Scary to think about what happens when Montiz is flushed out of the pocket

and Sackman mentioning Montiz could RUSH for a few touchdowns (that no one was expecting)

I don't have any memory of Sexton Hardcastle, but man, I sure would like to know his thoughts on Thursday's game. He was pretty spot on the last time we played Hawaii on the islands.
 
How many times did Moniz gash us up the middle that game?? And we had no response, no adjustment. He could just keep doing it and linebackers didn't do ****.

After the number of times he's been banned and return completely unfazed I don't the no that's even a possibility. Tini probably was Bama Charlie

Wet fields and rain always seem to limit speed, which is something that we have over Hawaii in spades. That is what makes me worry about this game now.
 
I'm just so conditioned to us laying huge, like ostrich sized, eggs in these games...............
