I just don’t see us in a conference with that many bottom feeders. I’m talking about KU, KSU, ISU, TTU, the new AAC teams and even Ore St and Wazzu. That feels like football purgatory. If we don’t add value for the B10 and SEC then what are these teams? 1000x worse. There must be another way.
I just don’t buy that anything is sacred. Conference affiliations, rivalry tradition, etc. That’s over. There is no Big 12 is what I’m saying. It only exists until someone says it doesn’t and that could happen at any moment.
We should move the chess board as much as possible vs go with the flow. Wishful thinking but that’s where I’m at.
I don’t have the Post. Not sure what they think.

I went from pure apathy to enjoying this **** storm.
Pfffft..... When this happens yo ass better be rooting for the Buffs when they play that one school..... or else......
A conference with UU, ASU, UA, OU, UW, TTU, ISU, BU, TCU, and OSU has plenty of oomph while still lacking a top tier program. Add in that for the most part CU, BYU, TTU, KSU, and Cincy would be competitive week in and week out. Leave you with UCF, UH, and KU as your bottom feeders. That isn't too bad.
All requires you land UW and UO though. Think that's the only way it works.
All of the marquee programs in that future conference would be coming from....

All I can see us doing on the chess board involves being a knight’s pawn that got stuck behind a rook’s pawn after it killed a bishop and then didn’t need to move again. If someone stupidly happens to move into one of our two kill spots, we have a move. Otherwise, we sit behind the stinky pawn directly in front of us til the game is over or there are so few pieces left we become valuable in what we can be transformed into, but not for being ourself.
I'm pretty sure we're playing checkers and had to be reminded that the pieces move diagonally.

Nah. Going back to the Big 8/SWC merger, how we voted in the Big 12, and both times the Pac-10 called, CU has always chosen to align with UT when possible and OU/aTm to a lesser degree. SEC with them plus Mizzou is a no-brainer easy call for CU.
The most forward looking move CU could make is to get together with several CEOs at major programs in the at-risk conferences and strike a deal to create a new conference altogether to rival the new P2.

Wasn't there a poster here making similar speculations this weekend?Some speculation here that the SEC is rumored to want to take 4 teams from the Pac 12 to establish a presence in all four time zones, with Oregon and Washington as the two main programs, and Denver and Phoenix as the two MTZ markets they covet..

Seems like the media wanted Utah to be a rival. I kind of like the style of football they play and only wanted to see them lose when not playing us. Kansas State can go die in a fire.
Lose to Stanford? Fans all become more apathetic and don’t care.

I'd be lying if I said that one of my top 3 reasons for wanting an SEC invite is "Watching Duff process complicated feelings on the board when Auburn mudholes CU and/or CU sneaks an upset and torpedoes Auburn's SEC championship aspirations."Pfffft..... I think we should consider cutting out the middle-man conferences. Just go straight corporate:
