Karl Dorrell and Chris Wilson fired

They’re gonna need to get a much better NIL program figured out, and the future conference affiliation situation needs to at least be well on its way to getting settled by December. Otherwise, no desirable HC candidate would touch this job with a ten foot pole.

CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

I believe he said he was ‘86-‘90, so he talked about gettin to see the rise of the program back then all that.

CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

I can understand this to be true in this situation, but the “there is no rush” attitude has kinda been a problem for this conference in the past, so they better not be sitting on their hands.

CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

Russillo also shares a story later in the podcast about how he happened to be at a PAC-12 game on the sidelines, probably a championship game, and he was there when Larry Scott came over to a group of ESPN execs and football guys to hold court, hype the conference and all that. And as soon as...

Nah, I think I do. Thanks for the condescending insult though.

CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

Fair. These seemed like perfectly good reasons to bolt when CU did. And everyone pretty much agreed that we’d be far better off. A lot of this is easy to see in hindsight, but I guess a better way to make my point is—the PAC 10/12 has historically been stuck in the mud, resting perpetually on...

CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

It checks out, which is sad. It was a mistake gettin in bed with these boring, pretentious mother****ers in the first place. It’s not like they were killin it before they took us in, that’s how they thought Larry Scott was some kind of genius. We shoulda known better🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

I’m sure this has been said in various forms already but I gotta vent: **** Larry Scott, that pretentious dumb****, he started the ball rolling to this day 10 years ago, enjoy your 50 mill ya prick. And **** the NCAA. What a feckless, bull**** organization of dimwits. You get to sit back...

    #Fire Coach Dorrell

I think in a lot of ways, the lack of integrity of the coaching contracts led to the new transfer problem. Because the coaches can get fired, or move on to a better job for more money at the drop of a hat(which was much more problematic), than why can’t the players do the same? That was at...

    2022 Transfer Portal

I got nothin constructive to add other than to bitch about the obvious. CFB is a goddamn mess now, they managed to make it worse somehow, and CU is way in the deep end of the ****. I don’t know how they can be functional with things operating this way.

Mel Tucker leaves CU for Michigan State

Let me know if this has been said in this thread already, and I apologize if so. But my my most important thought on this is cfb coaches have way too much power. We all know the ****ed up economy of cfb, but this is exhibit A on why HC contracts don’t mean anything to them, but they they mean...

CU officially hires Mel Tucker as new Head Football Coach

That’s a good and smart showing from Tucker. There will be the inevitable bitching from McChesney over the coming years about CU not offering all his kids, but smart to show up in force from the get go. Don’t think I saw Embree or MM do that.

All-in-one assistant coach suggestions for CU

Well are we running a 1 gap or 2 gap 3-4? 1 gap is pretty much what we think a 4-3 is. The d-line personnel doesn’t have to be that particular. We did try a 2 gap 3-4 in ‘17 and we did not have the dudes. Very few teams do, Alabama doesn’t even run that. Stanford did for a time successfully...

    2018-2019 MBB Coaching Carousel

Showtime had a season behind scenes a few years back with Gonzaga. Watching that, hard to see Few ever leaving, seems to have it made there. Unless he gets bored, but he’s basically the mayor of Spokane with a high approval rating.

All-in-one assistant coach suggestions for CU

Sticking predominantly to traditional recruiting areas is the familiarity factor. Less kids will dismiss interest out of hand simply because they know CU, know someone who went there, their coach has sent kids there, etc. When you’re outside of that, you do run the risk of kids ignoring the...

All-in-one assistant coach suggestions for CU

Theoretically, if we do have him on the hook, I could see him staying on at UVA thru the weekend so he doesn’t eff with their early signing day.
