  1. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

I would burn Magnolia to the ground if felony arson wasn't a thing.
  2. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

No, I suggested that the people who cheer for that institution's sports teams aren't as douchey. But the more I think about that, the more I remember how little I've cared for most Baylor fans in personal interactions. Never really found live CU fans to be tools.
  3. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

I agree that BYU/CU has all the trappings of being a heated rivalry. That should be a really fun matchup. Maybe your first visit back to Ames, we'll bust the live mascot out again.
  4. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

Institution? Absolutely. Fan base? Possibly. I went to the ISU/Baylor game at Floyd-Casey in 2008. It was the single worst sports experience of my life. This was all pre-rape, mind you. Waco is actually a dump (the campus area is pretty decent, I guess) and the stadium was in a ****ty...
  5. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

I'll take that bet. It's not 2003 any more. Although I'm sure our basketball team will continue it's history of losing to even your worst squads in Boulder. Jesus, that was a house of horrors for us. And god damn, I will never not laugh my ass off at Ben Stiller in Happy Gilmore.
  6. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

You guys left the conference it used to be, and are coming back to the one that it is. What it lacks in blue bloods, it makes up for in top to bottom parity and entertainment value. If this board is a reflection of your fanbase in general, I think I know who the most hated school in the league...
  7. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

I doubt you'll see that of ISU fans. Pretty much everyone liked making the trip out to Boulder. My family's vacationed in Colorado for years. I've climbed over 40 14ers. Rafted the Arkansas multiple times. My wife and I went to Breck and Lake City on our honeymoon. I love the state and get...
  8. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

The Big 12 isn't a ****ty conference. It's a collection of schools that aren't blue bloods, but have passionate fanbases, and a ton of great atmospheres for college sports. You pine for the Big 10, but you'd just get your heads stoved in by Ohio State and Michigan. That extra money does a lot...
  9. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

We have a super lax medical program for pens and edibles. No flower unfortunately, but I prefer pens anyway.
  10. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

80 degrees in Colorado is downright delightful.
  11. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

Where do you think the money comes from? It comes from people watching. You know, because they care.
  12. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

It's 100 in Ames that week too, but you don't have the humidity.
  13. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

You've been gone for 12 years. So much has changed. We got these other guys who live in the mountains, and not only do they love moonshine, but they might like weed as much as you guys. Seriously, when I went to the ISU/WVU game in Morgantown in 2013, I was stunned by how many people were...
  14. Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

The arrogance dripping from this board is just something to behold. You're leaving a conference full of tepid fanbases and half empty stadiums and joining one where people actually give a **** about college sports. Yeah, the Bay Area blows Ames, Iowa out of the water for cultural amenities...
  15. Official ISU @ CU prediction thread

Iowa City greater than Ames? If you like Affliction t-shirts and spoiled kids from the Chicago suburbs, then absolutely. I'll take hard partying Iowans any day, though. IC used to have a bunch of bars you could get in under 21, and they've all been shut down now. Ames has one of the best...
  16. Official ISU @ CU prediction thread

A **** hole that routinely wins awards for being one of the best small cities in America. Ames is definitely small, but it's far from a **** hole. It's a great college town, and a damn good time for a college kid. And yes, I've been to Colorado numerous times in my life. I've spent time in...
  17. Official ISU @ CU prediction thread

I've never seen fans on a 5 game losing streak that just blew a 45-17 4th quarter lead to the worst team in the conference so confident. I assume this optimism is based on Hawkin's firing? I think CU has the talent to win, but ISU has the coaching. I hope coaching trumps talent. I think...
  18. CU/Iowa St- Predict The Attendance

Personally I know about 20 ISU fans coming. I would bet there's somewhere in the neighborhood of 3,000 ISU fans. Between the combination of this game being for bowl eligibility, and the last chance to see ISU @ Folsom, there are more going than I would have guessed.
