Exactly why the entire bowl system needs an overhaul. There are 41 bowl games and zero pageantry in 15-20 of them. Need to get rid of a bunch, increase the minimum win requirement to at least 7 and make bowl games more exclusive.

Bowls are seriously nice background noise for the holidays. You don't need to watch every down of every quarter to be entertained.

This has been such a glorious year for college football. When CU sucked, I couldn't bear to watch two competent teams play each other. It was torture. Now, I'm like "CU could take these guys".

I agree. Boston College vs Maryland, I can't believe these teams made a bowl? BC beat UMass, Wagner, Buffalo, NC St, Uconn, and Wake...and finished dead last in their division. Maryland got 6 wins against crappy teams too.

I think our game is going to get good ratings because it's the first game with ranked opponents. The Texas Bowl and the Holiday Bowl might be good, but our game is the best looking game until the Orange Bowl.

Yeah. I watch just about all of them.

Any annoyance I had in years past was mostly due to seeing crappy teams in empty stadiums who gagged out 6 wins over horrible teams... and feeling jealous that CU hadn't had enough horrible teams on its schedule to gag out 6 wins and play in an empty stadium in mid-December. The past decade was a very dark chapter in my life as a football fan.
